Different names on SSN and AOS

Could we have different names on the Social Security card and AOS papers, For example, Can we file for SSN with Maiden name and file for AOS with married name? And later can we keep the SSN with maiden name and not change it to married name? Will there be any implications while filing taxes and all?

This will cause problems when you try to get driver's license and things of that nature as everything asks for your ss#.If the name on your id and ss# do not match this will cause problems. Happened to me when I went to update my licenses, they would not renew it until I made the correction.

Thanks for your replies.

The only reason I was doing it becuase my fiance (now wife) has some investment in her home country and wanted to take advantages of local tax laws. However, if it is going to be a problem here then I might as well have same name on Green card and SSN.
