Good Morning All,

I am just about to submit my husband's paperwork for his AOS. However, we just found out that his two oldest sisters are getting married at either the end of this month or the beginning of next month. While we are waiting for his AOS to be processed is there any possible way that he would be able to go and attend that wedding? I thought that once I send in the AOS packet then I could go and apply for AP. Is that correct?

You can apply for AP with form I-131, and it is free for people who filed I-485. However, it won't be approved by next month. It should be approved in around 3 months. An expedite option exists for emergencies, but a wedding isn't considered an emergency. Good luck.

8/17/10: INTERVIEW DAY (day 123) APPROVED!!

Hi Kim, hope all is well with you guys, This is Poonwattie,, the best person to ask that question is Erik,, but I dont know if he will see this topic since he is in Pakistan right now with his wife, I know she didnt get her green card yet, but she had some sort of card that allows her to travel. Good luck to you and your hubby
