How long since you got your NOA2 from USCIS? Usually its no more than a few days you sit at NVC long enough to get your case# have you called NVC to get your case number and ask them when they sent your Case to Embassy? Once you know that you can email the embassy with case# and Beneficiaries name and ask for interview date and they will start the ball rolling. I believe for K1 the embassy will also ask for you and Beneficiary's email. Nothing comes in the mail.

After getting proof that my approved petition has reached Lagos (there is a process for that) I called the Embassy. In a few hours they emailed me an interview date with an attachment of forms to fill out.

You can get the forms here ahead of time http://photos.state....-K3_Apr2012.pdf

I was approved after you on the 26th September 2012 and got mine yesterday. Chances are your interview date will be on or before the 21st of December even though they're yet to communicate that to you. Call the NVC on 1-603-334-0700 (have your EAC number ready and be sure to ask for your LGS number) and find out what date your file left for Lagos. If it has left, call the Dept of State on 1-202-663-1225 (have your LGS number ready) to find out if it has been received.
