I had an interesting development with my case today. I had received the biometrics letter last week for Jan 28th, and had updated the timeline. Today I received another letter from USCIS to come to the local field office on Jan 31. That is three days after my biometrics. The letter states to bring all the evidence to establish marriage. So I am guessing I am getting an interview. But so soon? I am not even prepared. Any idea or advise? Please help. I had a waiver filing too.

I did my interview last thursday.. I am not sure how it went. Here is my experience. I was in there for a good 45 minutes. When I went in the officer swore me in and opened my file. He was pretending that he had not even looked at my file, but i had a feeling that he had. First thing he asked me was if i had a lawyer and I said no, and he seemed amazed. He asked me that I was at the same office just about a year ago. I said yes, I was. He asked me to explain to him in detail everything that happened because this might be my last chance. I told him my entire story. So he asked me if we were having problems right after the marriage, why did I not tell the officer who interviewed us last time. I told him we were trying to make it work. I had uprooted my entire life and married her and the entire thing turned out to be a big lie. He asked me the same question quite a few times that why did i not tell the other officer during the AOS stage and my reply was the same every time. He went through the pictures, bank statements, letter from credit card company that my ex wife was an authorized user on my card, car insurance. I gave him a few more pieces of evidence of the relationship and he made copies of them. In the end he went over the I-751 again and asked me if i had any criminal record or whether I was in deportation proceedings. I said no. Then the only glimmer of hope that I got was that he asked me if that was the spelling of my name and that is how I wanted it to be spelled on my new card. I said yes. Then he said that the interview was over and that he probably would NOT need me to come in again and he told me he could not make a decision at that point and that they will notify me in three to four weeks about the decision. I gathered all the stuff and left. He did NOT keep my green card which is still valid through 2013.

I am in a status of limbo right now, I have stopped looking for all new jobs just in case they deny me. I have been patiently waiting for a text or email on the decision but the tension is just eating at me right now. I cannot even sleep as you can tell from the time of this post. Just wanted to share my experience. Hope it helps somebody else too.

Hi everyone.

I have had to call USCIS twice since filing my I-751 on 11/19/2012. I got my NOA dated 11/23/2012 and then nothing. I called in early January about not getting my biometrics appointment and was told to wait a bit more. I called again on January 30 and placed a service request.

Surprisingly, today I got two letters- one a notice about my service call which stated that their records show that I was sent a request by their office to go to one of their Application Support Centers for processing associated with my case and that my case was in suspense from further action until I attended this appointment, also that a copy of the appointment notice was included for my information. However, there was no copy of that notice in the envelope.

The second letter had my biometrics appointment notice...my take on the matter is that after I called the USCIS they realised that they had not sent me a biometrics appointment notice,,,so they sent it asap (the letter's notice date is January 31 - a day after I called and made the service request).

Housekeeper can you kindly update my info :-

So..Not being one to wait around for stuff to happen..I did a walk-in this morning at the Processing Center and was fortunate that I was the third person there and the officer working at the front desk said that since it was a slow morning that she would let me do my biometrics.

I DID MY BIOMETRICS TODAY 2/7/13 (Early Bio)

Hello......I am new here and was wondering if anyone can provide some insight?

We filed the I-751 paperwork back in October 2012 (I cannot remember when it was sent in, I haven't been keeping tack - bad me). UCIS received our packet November 2, 2012, we received our I-797C NOA paper on November 8, 2012 and had our biometrics appointment on November 29, 2012. Since then we haven't heard anything or received anymore paperwork. Is this normal? My husbands green card expired November 22, 2012 and we are growing anxious. I called UCIS this morning and just got an automated system....couldn't figure out how to talk to a human!
