NVC Filers - November 2012

I just received a very interesting email from Frankfurt embassy. I had asked them about the availability of interviews this month. They replied that they do not provide available dates to the NVC but that the NVC just comes up with the dates and tells the embassies. Does that seem odd to anyone else? If that is true, then what is the NVC doing telling us they have to wait for dates from each consulate?

The embassy sends NVC a month's worth (or so) of available dates they have. NVC then looks at that schedule and schedules interviews accordingly. The embassy itself doesn't schedule the interviews, NVC does. The embassy just merely tells them when they have available dates for interviews.

That was my previous understanding, but that's my point. I asked them specifically about that. The embassy said this isn't true and that they provide no such schedule but that the NVC just tells them when to have dates available. The embassy said they cannot even tell me what the availability for November/December looks like because they do not know themselves. They just get names and dates from the NVC and have to interview then.

Interesting.... Maybe it's not how we thought it was... Or it's just Germany :P

I got that same answer twice btw. from different people, so there must be something to it. But if that is true I don't know why NVC makes us wait forever for interview dates.

I say yours won't be tomorrow, but on Wednesday. Now ASK for it (to whoever, just say it aloud :P), then BELIEVE it. Know that you'll get your interview date on Wednesday, and so it shall be :)

"About address proof". As you all know in I-130, we have to give spouse's address. Do they cross verify what we write in I-130?

Do we need to be consistent?
