Don't worry about it! Many packages are attempted to be delivered on Saturdays. They'll be re-delivered on Monday and be successful. Nothing you need to do.

saylin i hope you are right , the thing is i called the USPS help number twice today and in the 2nd call they got a supervisor on the phone for me and he said the same thing ( we will not reattempt delivery again on monday , the recipient has to contact us and reschedule delivery , if no one claim the package within 15 days it will be returned back to the sender .

thanks darnell! that's a big help! :) i think i will send evidences with my ds230. Do I need to send original evidences like greeting cards, money transfer receipts or a photocopy of those will do? And do I need to certify a photocopy of the biodata page of my passport? or that's just for marriage cert and birth certificates? thanks and God bless! :)

Again, don't worry. It's not like you're the first one for this to happen to. NVC will take care of it. There's absolutely nothing to worry about.

I believe not. The instructions didn't say photocopies must be certified. I just sent plain photocopies of the original legal documents, even for my passport's bio page. Case was completed in 10 working days. :)

That's because you're calling a national help number so the national help number is going to give you the general across the country rules.

The local postal service is going to know the situation for a govt building they deliver to every day.

Our mailman at work even takes a poll on the companies in our industrial park on who is going to be closed on certain days that they might consider holidays (day after thanksgiving for instance)

I used to wonder how they knew lol

So you can feel even more at ease I also had the same exact thing happen to me. That "Monday delivery" message is not the last status update. Just keep checking the USPS website with your tracking number. Once the package is picked up by the NVC, you'll still get a scanned proof of delivery receipt.
