Yay, grats!

Two things to do: get medical done and get all documentation ready for the interview (like evidence). And if applicable, sign up for a courier service to receive your visa back. This varies by country, so you need to do your own research on this.

Thanks Saylin :dancing: I put soooo much in our I-130 Pack that I dont have that many new pics to provide besides some wedding pics I hadnt had printed at that time. Our main form of communication is on the phone using calling cards. Would it be enough for me to bring the tons of calling cards I have, few extra wedding pics, bday card he sent me, few whatsapp chats I managed to save, and 3 moneygram receipts I have from when he sent me some money?

Just a quick update--my husband made it through the POE yesterday in Dallas, and he is now HOME at LAST! It took him about an hour, which was mainly due to the queue. The actual POE part went quickly, he says. Of course, while waiting with our luggage, I managed to drop and break a bottle of duty-free wine and all our bags (and the Customs area of DFW airport) smelled like a winery. Go me. But at least he's here!

It's so weird having him just in the other room, snoozing on the sofa and watching South Park. No more staying up until 4 or 5 am to voicechat! I can just holler "Hey babe!" and he hollers back :)

So many thanks to everyone here for the help and support. Saylin, you are a goddess.

Now for a visa break until it's time to get to work on the next phase of the process. Good luck to everyone who is still waiting!

Congratulations on POE and having husband home!

The fingerprinting thing is in the link posted by you at the beginning of this thread.

As for what the interview letter says - it doesn't really say anything. It seems like NVC has all the documents needed for the interview and if they made it to Frankfurt there seems to be nothing for me to take except my passport. Does that seem right?

Which link did you see that?

You'll definitely need to bring the interview letter and passport. And I don't know how Germany works, but is your medical results given to you to bring to the interview or does the panel physician send them straight to the embassy? And is there any courier you have to sign up with ahead of time and then bring documentation of this? There's also passport photos that typically have to be brought to the interview (it's 2 in Canada), so they can use it for the visa and green card.

Somewhere between required and optional (depending on the country) is proof of relationship. I linked in the first post to a thread with a bunch of ideas on what to bring.

Optional: a copy of everything you've submitted so far. This means: copy of I-130 package, NOA1 and NOA2, copy of AOS package, copy of IV package, receipts of bills paid, etc. It'll probably not be asked of, but I think it's always a good idea to bring, for that just in case moment that may happen.

Remember, it's better to be slightly over prepared than slightly under prepared. Especially with this immigration process.

I don't know how hard it is in your country, so I'm not sure if that's enough or not. The more, the better though. Did you take a look at the link in the first post about relationship evidence? It's got so many good ideas, it's unbelievable. I'd suggest you read other reviews for your embassy and see if people talk about having to show proof of relationship, and if so, how much do they want.

Hello all. Great job thus far!

Please reply/comment if you understand what I should be doing. I am at the NVC stage and waiting to send my IV & AOS package in. I meet all the requirements and well over the poverty line for the last 3 years (most recent being 2011) but I have been jobless for almost all of the year since February 2012 now. I just got a part-time which will only end up being about $20000 annually.

My issue is:

I petitioned for my wife and we had a son 3 months ago. I already applied for his CRBA and they have an appointment next week to get his passport and CRBA certificate.

Do I include my son in the I-864 or the exception rule applies to him (http://www.uscis.gov/files/form/i-864instr.pdf on page 1)?

If it applies I believe I will be good for the I-864 since I will only be sponsoring my wife. If not will I need a co-sponsor since it'll be 3 month old son, my wife and myself?

Sorry for my somewhat confusing question.

Is it true when DHL gets here USPS takes over or what? I haven't seen a DHL truck in like years. Just wondering. It's coming to my work and USPS comes like around this time.

DHL maintains control. They only deliver items from overseas or pick-up items bound for overseas now, that's why you haven't seen DHL trucks in years. I still seem them from time to time at the buildings I work at.

I'm trying to figure out how to track that package from DHL from husband (DS-230 package) and I have no tracking number. Lord help me.

Our Interview letter had different requirements. Each case is unique. Yours might be as you say and very simple. It might be wise to consider spending a few Euro and call the Embassy in Frankfurt and ask directly. At this point they will be very helpful to you because you have your invitation.
