Nope, that'd be pointless as every country has different time frames for that process. That's when you need to do your own research using the timeline functions here on VJ :) Here's where you would start: http://www.visajourney.com/timeline/k1list.php?cfl=0&op1=3&op2=d&op3=5&op4=1&op5=5,6,8,10,11,13,14,15,16,17,18,20,21,22,25,26,27,28,108,110,111,208,210,211&op6=All&op7=Colombia&dfile=No&adv= Have fun! I sure did when I did while waiting for an interview date :)

I have a question about the D-230.

On the addresses since 16 years old area, it only asks for city or town and not an actual address.

If my husband has lived in, idk, 10 houses all in the same town, do we have to list them separately, or is it just during the time frame?

So for example, would it go like this:

Brantford, ON 12/2010 - Present (which includes 2 residences)

Harley, ON 05/2009 - 11/2010

Brantford, ON - 01/2009 - 04/2009

etc...

Also, if anyone can shed some light, after just looking into this, I noticed I wrote an incorrect city on my husband's G325 for an address from 09/2006 - 12/2008. The correct town is the one just right next to the one I accidentally wrote... what kind of trouble could this cause?

Have you been calling everyday to check on the status? I am trying to hold off from calling although I am very tempted. They should have received my AOS on Friday and will receive the IV tomorrow.

It may be a little soon to call.

Keep in mind, as a Canadian, you do NOT fill out the DS-230. You have to fill out the online DS-260. And unless they've changed things since I filled it out, it asks for EXACT addresses, not just city/region.

Oh! Thank you. Good thing I asked.

Not sure how I screwed that one up.

You're welcome. Glad you asked! Would have saved you a week or two.

I suggest you read the wiki I wrote on EP as well as online forms (it's linked in the first post as well as in my signature below). And I know you mentioned you have a hard time taking a lot in, so I suggest copying the entire wiki contents into a Word document (like someone suggested earlier), and just break everything up in chunks, so it's easier for you to read and understand. And once you've done a step, you can always delete it from the Word document so you don't need to see it any longer.

Yeah, the sad part was that I read that part of the wiki right before I asked the question lol

I knew I had to do it online, I just didn't realize it was a different form I guess.

The DS-260 is just an online version of the DS-230, but it's not like filling out a PDF and hitting send. They go page-by-page, asking you questions. If you haven't checked out the link in the wiki, there's a website with screenshots of the DS-260: http://www.docstoc.com/docs/49845403/DS-260-screen-shots (it's changed slightly, but same concept).

Yeah I looked it over briefly.

Can you save and continue later? lol

Yes, there's a save option. I never used it, so I don't know how reliable/stable it is. I got mine done all in one sitting, took less than an hour. I prepared all the answers ahead of time, so I just had to look at my answers and fill the boxes in. I wanted to submit that form asap to keep the ball rolling.
