saylin -

quick question.

yesterday my wife got reply from NVC to the DS-3032. It also contains following

"We received the Affidavit of Support Processing Fee payment(s) for this

case. You must now download and complete the Affidavit of Support

form(s). Please visit the following website to download the appropriate

Affidavit of Support form(s) and instructions:

http://travel.state.gov/visa/immigrants/info/info_3197.html"

We already sent the AOS packet. Looks like they haven't reviewed it but looks

like they saw it is been PAID.

Saylin - though it 'seems' to be 'in reply' to a ds-3032 inquiry, it's not a 'reply' to a 'ds-3032 inquiry' at all.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
Ya know, you can find the answer to your question with the advanced search tool, when using a PC? Ditch the handphone, come back later on a PC, and try again.

What is the avg time between approval of i130 to interview date?

double points to you for studying the timeline section here at VJ, or even Saylin's timeline tracker on her googleplexSpace.

I can't read posts like her first 2 because of my dyslexia.

When there's too much text in one place, I can't process it.

And I don't know what a googleplexspace is.

timeline section - train yer eyeballs up, click on 'immigration timelines'

then in left panel, select CR-1/IR-1

One the page loads, click on the sort carat on the Interview Date Column,

then study the time gap between the NOA-2 date and the Interview Date Columns.

as to Saylin's GooglePlexSpace TimeLine Tracking Spreadsheet - no worries - in another month or two, you'll be in it as well.

ps - god help you if'n yer trying to learn about timelines using a handphone web browser.

This is great, thanks!

And I only occasionally view on my ipod, 90% of the time I'm on my computer lol

I can't even find timelines on the mobile version.

Edit: Wow, I didn't realize there was typically 4-6 months between NOA2 and Interview.

It seems like those that state the entire process is around 8 months are grossly misinformed.

Seems more like 12 months is pretty accurate.

Looks like even if I had a speedy NOA2 approval, I won't be moved before my sister's wedding in early july.

Hi Saylin, Your suggestion for the DS3032 for my kids worked.Got the acceptance emails this morning.

Thanks again.

Grats!

What is the avg time between approval of i130 to interview date?

This is all dependent upon YOU. How fast you pay bills and how fast you submit packages. If you're fast, you can be out of NVC within two months. Less than a month if you're really lucky. If you get your I-130 approval within the next few months and have a successful interview, you should have no problem being in the US by July.

If you have an MSC # or are a past-Aug-15 filer, then expect 65 to 85 days between NOA-1 and NOA-2, currently.

This prediction can/will change, as more folk actually update their @#@#$ing timelines...

HTH !

ps - I have opposite problem from you, I am a page-at-a-glance reader with Mentat Speed, level II. I have to look away at least 5 minutes every hour or my head explodes. It's not photographic memory, but 'full-vision intake' with full-immersion gisting. Many times it's useful, for my work ;)

The DS-3032 was 'found' and in a bit, will be added to the casefile. Also in a bit, expect an IV fee bill to show up in email and the IV fee bill to show up as 'payable' at the NVC Online payment portal.

[or you can read post #2 again]
