I'm looking at the LingChe shortcut and don't notice any details about the photos that need to be sent with IV, only that they need to be passport size. I remember reading somewhere that they should be marked with the applicants (my wife) info on the back. Any feedback here would be greatly appreciated, if they do need to be marked does it matter if its with pencil or pen?

Thanks.

It will take about 14 days on average to review your DS-3032. Not until that step is accepted by NVC will your IV BILL be invoiced so you can pay. So that you will need to wait I would say after about 10 days start calling to see if its been reviewed and accepted. Than they send the email of the IV BILL and about 2 to 3 days later you are invoiced to pay and can send in your IV BILL (DS-230) package.

thank you for the reply dwheels :) so thats for the IV packet? how about the aos? can i do that right after i sent the ds3032? or i need to wait again for another confirmation? thanks again!

im really sorry but i was reading the draft of the email and i got confused again. were planning to assign my husband's mom to be our choice of agent right? but then you said it really wont matter coz they will send correspondence on our emails. but my question is, is that choice of agent is just good for this procedure (nvc stage up to interview) or until the immigration process is done? meaning after arriving in us and changing removing conditions and stuff? coz if thats the case, i need to appoint his mom coz we're leaving too and no one will get the correspondence here if ever they send any in the near future. i hope you can enlighten me with this, thank you so very much!

The DS-3032 is only to choose an agent for the NVC stage, that's it. You should just choose yourselves. Like I said, as long as NVC has your email addresses on file, all correspondence will be by email.

I started checking the site every couple of hours after I got my IIN.

But I received the emails for AOS and DS3032, and minutes after i was able to see the AOS bill invoice on the portal.

Two passport-stile pictures are needed of the beneficiary with the IV package. And yes, write their full name, date of birth, and case number on the back. Please refer to posts 1 and 2.

AOS package is similar to the IV package. You need to wait for the bill to be invoiced, pay it, then send the package.

Print the receipt for your records, but it's not needed in the package. Only the bar-coded cover sheet is needed for the package.

Technically, yes, you'd have everything for the AOS package and can technically send it. But I'd suggest waiting until the payment clears before sending it out.

I guess its not a batch job, my status just changed to PAID.

Yea, when I got the emails yesterday for DS3032 and AOS, I loaded the payment portal and I saw the bill appeared and I was able to pay with my checking account. I had already been logging in for two days almost with no luck. When I was in your situation I would just check every few hours on teh portal to see if the bill was invoiced. Send me a PM I can better explain what I have done so far. I hope you or the applicant rather already sent the DS3032 email, no sense in being a singleton process, you have to do anything that can be done in parallel.

Darnell, well, that's my point, I will still undergo medical exam and I know even sputum that's why I want to start now so the 2 month waiting for culture is already moving. We're planning to leave as soon as we passed the interview anyway so I think there shouldn't be a problem (except if I won't get an interview date until my sputum culture is done.) :P thanks for the advice anyway :)

Since you started 'this testing' in January, do note that you'll need another medical, a real medical exam by a panel physican, before the interview date.

If you think the 'january stuff' counts on the medical - you'll find that it'll age out for official purposes, and you'll need another one.

Seriously, wait till you have the appointment letter in hand before going out for the medical- it's still at least 1 month out, for you.
