Really, I just tried the show cover page and it showed it, even if the status on the site is not PAID, that means I should just send it correct? Do I also need to send the receipt (the page has two options email cover sheet and email receipt). I just did both.

Update - receipt still shows In Process.

Print the receipt for your records, but it's not needed in the package. Only the bar-coded cover sheet is needed for the package.

Technically, yes, you'd have everything for the AOS package and can technically send it. But I'd suggest waiting until the payment clears before sending it out.

saylin: well when I did my xray last january they saw something and put me under medication for 6months for precautionary measures then I did sputum culture and its negative but I cannot stop the medication anymore. so I think I won't be positive for that but they might require me to get sputum culture again. just worried that it'll expire even before I can get an interview schedule. :( anyway :) does it really take days before they email you the choice of agent thing?

i say get 'the medical' done after you have the interview appointment letter in hand.

this 'prior stuff' you've done is useful, only to remove the onus of TB on you.

You still need a medical exam, performed by a civil surgeon. Don't cut corners on this one.

Note the validity date of the visa itself is tied to the medical exam date, so try to get your medical exam done within the month prior to the actual interview date.

You'll know the interview date when you receive the interview letter.

Medical stuff in the PI is such a pain, yes? Especially with a hint of TB floating around, always.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
Ya know, you can find the answer to your question with the advanced search tool, when using a PC? Ditch the handphone, come back later on a PC, and try again.

saylin, whaa? I wasted a day of waiting for nothing? Haha owell. dumdum! (me!) so i can email them now and the letter from nvc I'm waiting for the medical exam is their reply to that email? (Do I even need the letter from them for the medical?) Thanks saylin I will email them now. I think i will put my name as choice of agent since my husband is here too :)

Darnell, well, that's my point, I will still undergo medical exam and I know even sputum that's why I want to start now so the 2 month waiting for culture is already moving. We're planning to leave as soon as we passed the interview anyway so I think there shouldn't be a problem (except if I won't get an interview date until my sputum culture is done.) :P thanks for the advice anyway :)

Yes, you can email them now the DS-3032. Follow the wiki in the first post. Their reply though is just to say if they've accepted or rejected the DS-3032. The initial information package (that contains the letter with case number, needed for advance medicals) is not associated whatsoever with the DS-3032 being sent in. This initial information package is sent independently of anything you do.

saylin, oh okay so thats 2 diff emails. when can i get that individual email? (For the medical) I don't know if I need it but maybe. :)

You'll get the initial information package within a few business days of your case number being assigned. You need the first page of the letter for the medical.

Saylin,

Now I understand the .. Doi ... answer to my question about hte address, I didnt know I could print the cover sheet before the status changing to paid on the portal. Had I known that I would have printed and copied it yesterday at work. Today I'm working from home and had to run out to pay to get it printed. Anyway the package is on its way, I feel good it will get there in the AM Friday instead of waiting till friday to send and have it get there Mon.

I am pretty confident about the payment going through since I already have $88 less in my checking account, my bank is just slow moving transactions from pending to complete, however the money is usually transfered by the point it shows pending, have had the same experience with paypal when purchading online.

Thanks for all the help and great advise.

I'm betting that they have evening batch jobs that pick up all the daily transactions, which expalins why nothing happens on the same day.

im really sorry but i was reading the draft of the email and i got confused again. were planning to assign my husband's mom to be our choice of agent right? but then you said it really wont matter coz they will send correspondence on our emails. but my question is, is that choice of agent is just good for this procedure (nvc stage up to interview) or until the immigration process is done? meaning after arriving in us and changing removing conditions and stuff? coz if thats the case, i need to appoint his mom coz we're leaving too and no one will get the correspondence here if ever they send any in the near future. i hope you can enlighten me with this, thank you so very much!

It will take about 14 days on average to review your DS-3032. Not until that step is accepted by NVC will your IV BILL be invoiced so you can pay. So that you will need to wait I would say after about 10 days start calling to see if its been reviewed and accepted. Than they send the email of the IV BILL and about 2 to 3 days later you are invoiced to pay and can send in your IV BILL (DS-230) package.

Don't worry about asking questions.

Yes, CIS number is the number from USCIS.

No need to wait on NVC for anything. You can check the payment portal whenever you wish. As soon as fees are posted, pay them!

another thing, will i attach the ds3032 form and then put the draft email on the body part of my email? thanks so much!

Nope, please read the wiki again.
