Sorry for the trick questions :Plaughing.gif

How many false Checklist Items are created by the incorrect information given on the phone? Got another one today (electronically). I call NVC. Not too much of a wait today so it was a little better.. I speak with the rep and

she tells me the Checklist Item I have on line 25 about income "not matching" my return was somehow flagged. One Month ago I sent a complete copy of all three years tax filing and they already had the three last years transcripts. I made 100% sure that the Income was correct on the I-864.

The actual Checklist sent to me today had NO information at all of why it was sent!! Nothing. Even the Rep was baffled.

She said "line 25 on I-864 incorrect. I told her yes, I sent evidence and made sure it was correct.

I know I sent the I-864, that is correct, and I easily qualify as Sponsor and I also know I sent the correct Returns and IRS transcripts for the last 3 years.

I think it is time I speak with a Tier 2 Supervisor at NVC, but before jumping to that level I want to ask the advice of the experienced folks here. Should we simply wait another week for this to maybe sort itself out or do I crank out yet another I-864 hoping it does not cause yet more confusion??

I am getting the picture on who is the one doing the beating on my head and it is the Checklist Gremlin :bonk:

there is no 'Tier 2' concept at NVC - it's simply a Supervisor.

In a pinch, can ask for a visa specialist, as well.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
Ya know, you can find the answer to your question with the advanced search tool, when using a PC? Ditch the handphone, come back later on a PC, and try again.

thanks for relplying saylin! :)

sorry for asking so many question just dont want to get an rfe! :P anyway so it means we really don't need to appoint his mom to be our choice of agent since all of the documents will come from here? (My husband is here with me now until we I get approved and we can fly back together) can we use fedex or dhl to send the packets?

Another thing, do we need to submit his proof of domicile even if he's just vacationing here? Thank you very much! :)

No, as long as you give both email addresses over to an operator, you can just appoint yourself as agent.

Either shipping service will suffice, it doesn't matter. Just consider getting tracking so you know when it arrives at NVC.

If he's just visiting and not LIVING there, then no, you don't need to establish US domicile.

Can the AOS package be email? which is the recommended option? I qualified for the 864EZ

No, you're not eligible for electronic processing. You have to mail the packages.

If you qualify for the I-864EZ, then use that as it's a much shorter form than the I-864.

Sadly, no.

I would suggest calling an operator and putting a request in that your case be reviewed by a supervisor to straighten things out.

thanks again saylin! You are an angel! :)

He's just visiting but we own a property here(in our names) and he will be here for the next few months. that's why I'm thinking if we need to send proof of domicile.

Last thing for now! :P if we get the case number, can I do my medical exam already so that when they see something in X-ray it's already moving (2 month culture thing) thanks again!

Yeah, as long as he's just visiting and hasn't been living there, I see no reason why he'd need to send in proof of domicile. On the papers, have him use his address in the US.

And yes, for the Philippines, as soon as you get that email from NVC that contains your case number, you can go get your medical done. The Philippines is one of the few places that do this, primarily because you guys have to deal with the culture things, which can take quite awhile if you need to take medication. This happened to one of my friends on here and she had to delay her interview a few months due to the 6-month medication needed :(

I know :( that's one of my worries cause last January I got my X-ray and they saw something so I started my 6 month medication right away for safety purpose but then my culture is negative so yeah I don't really have it but then I cannot stop my medication anymore. So I'm just being proactive and doing stuff right away. You think they will accept my medical records there so I won't have to do the culture anymore since I'm negative and I also had my medication already?

And does the case number comes before sending packets to nvc? We have to call nvc for our case number right? Sorry for all of these questions but you guys seriously is heaven sent! Thank you and God bless!

I unfortunately don't know anything about the medication and cultures in the Philippines. You will have to get a medical done though, so not sure how that will affect it all. I suggest in your case, get the medical done asap once you get the case number. And bring all documentation about your previous X-ray and medication with you.

The case number gets assigned once NVC gets your case from USCIS and assigns one. You can't send the packages until after (obviously) as they'll have no way to connect those packages to your case unless you have a case number.

You can wait for NVC to send you the introduction package by mail, but I wouldn't suggest that as it may take a few months. Instead, call NVC every day and ask if a case number has been assigned. If it has, get the number, as well as the IIN, and give over both email addresses. I think it's time you re-review posts 1 and 2 ;)

We realize they have been having a big mess in New England with the weather issues and

probably the mail services are also slow. That is not the condition this time.

We know they have the items requested because the tracking recorded the

Contractors that signed for the delivery. I have those tracking numbers.

We're at over one month on the first "semi-legitimate" Checklist item (past 3 years IRS transcription AND

then they wanted the 2011 FULL filing, not just one or the other!) and my Wife's Police report which is

was legitimate Checklist item. NVC has had that last set of documents for two weeks now. Everything had

translations and all of the translations are notarized by the service that did the translation.

So I agree. On Monday I will ask for a Supervisor to step in. When I got the Checklist today

with nothing attached...not a single request...I kinda instantly became a bit less patient.

Thanks for the feedback and we'll plug in when we have some info on this to everyone.

Hi! Do you have any ideas why they asked past 3 years IRS transcription that is not mandatory? Did you get any explanations from NVC?

I'm just waiting NVC review about my I-864. It was delivered to NVC in same time with DS-230 but in separate mails on Nov 01, 2012.

Yestarday (Nov 16) I called to NVC. Result: DS-230 - accepted | I-864, AOS - received by NVC but haven't been reviewed yet. ... and 5 hours later I have got e-mail ***CHECKLIST COVER LETTER for I-864, AOS*** »»» *...The NVC has received the requested Immigrant Visa Application (DS-230). However, we are still waiting for the Affidavit of Support form...*

I guess I should ignore it but situation with yours case is very strange for me and I'm almost ready for some NVC *surprises* too.

...AND then they wanted the 2011 FULL filing, not just one or the other!)

What do you mean under *2011 FULL filing*? could you explain, plz!
