We are still waiting for our case to get to the NVC! But I have a question!! My husbands year income is 40,000 and we don't have kids it's just the 2 of us!! Should we need a cosponsor?? Or is my husband year income good??

Thank you :) my husband got the letter from NOA2 today saying our case was approved and it was sent to NVC

But the latter say that we should allow a minimum of 30 days to contact to NVC...

Is that normal everyone got the same kind of letter with the same instructions??

Or that means I have to wait 30 to start calling to the NVC??

I mean 30 days!

thats the standard letter sent to everyone one...NVC normally contacts after 3 weeks sometimes earlier if ur lucky...we didnt call NVC or our Case number etc and we heard from them 3 weeks after our approval...we got our hardcopy NOA2 like in 6 weeks (uurrrgghh this mail boys)....

In my case I was calling them at the first day I got NOA2. And not just called and sent them an e-mail asked for my case # and IIN.

CR-1 Visa

You'll hear a lot of different things from NVC operators :lol:

Look at some people's timelines: some wait a few weeks, some just a few days. My case# and IIN was issued the next day it was received by NVC so do call and ask about it. If you wait for any letters/e-mails, it may take a LONG time.

We are anxiously awaiting my husbands interview on November 27 at the embassy in Dakar. Does anyone know if he will be required to pay any fees at the time of the interview and if so how much they will be?

Nope, all fees for IR-1/CR-1 applicants are paid at NVC. The only possible fee would be for a courier for the visa to be returned to you. But this differs by country and you'd have to look in the regional forums and/or the official consulate/embassy site for your country to find the answer to that question. Research time!

Chris and Laura case was approved on Oct 23.

Laura I think you need to call NVC to get case# and IIN.
