We don't get any bands in Germany and any hospitalization of mine would have been long before the advent of social media. I think the only ones were the tonsils and the car accident, but I don't know exactly what date the tonsils one happened. I can't imagine that that would really be important though.

So what happens if they take a blood test and when they get the results days later something comes back positive (it shouldnt for me as I just had my blood checked in May, but I am curious). Does the doctor contact you and tell you to come in for another visit? Or does he just forward the results to the embassy and then they tell you, you can't get the visa (let's say if your tuberculosis test comes back positive)?

I find this whole process really fascinating but very chaotic and there is not a lot of information out there.

Just because you can't find out through government sources, doesn't mean there's not other ways to find out. Depending when they occurred, did you have a social media status about it, a blog entry, a diary entry, a forum post somewhere, etc? This is how I figured out a lot of dates for forms: I looked back at my digital content that I created. Not sure if Germany's the same, but here in North America, after being hospitalized, you get a little band to wear on your wrist. If Germany's the same, any chance you kept them to refer to? Or would your parents/friends know?

Probably not super important, but there must be some reason why they ask for previous hospitalizations. Can you at least guess the approximate year the two happened? And approximate how long you stayed there?

And not exactly sure what happens with a positive blood test for syphilis. I don't think I've seen a case on here before where that happened. I'm thinking they'll call to inform you and perhaps put you on some medication.

Since you paid the AOS fee, it's only been 1.5 business days. It'll probably show up as PAID tomorrow, as today's a holiday.

DS-3032 is irrelevant to the AOS fee.

I can understand you!! Our case is still at the NVC but I'm super worried about my medical too!! I can't even sleep!! It would be perfect if the US immigration could see how everything about this process affect our lives!!

Ps: put an update about your medical ok :)

I will do that once I am back tomorrow night.

Yes, it seems like they have no idea that (in my case) 8-9 months of my life have been spent with nothing but immigration related stuff. If my husband had a way to move to Germany, he could have been with me right away without any of this ridiculous hoop-jumping.

Unfortunately, because of his job, he can't.

But it really feels like I lost almost a year of my life to this process and I still don't know whether this will be over next month or not. The funny thing is, they want us to do a medical, when really it is this process that makes us sick. I have lost weight, I don't sleep, I am so stressed I get stomach aches etc. I didn't have any of that before.
