It hasn't worked for me today either; I don't know why. But before - all was fine.

This is how I learned it:

Line 1: EXP 05 NOV2012A (I always do space before and after the number; everything else stays together. You pick this date - it can be anything from last few days)

Line 2: the date HAS to be the same as in Line 1

Line 3: always current/today's date

Line 4: leave empty

Line 5: put Germany or leave empty (sometimes when you leave empty, it will show you many packages but not from Germany; then when you check just for Germany, you will see a package - I have no idea why .....)

Can you please give me the full instruction the website and what I should click on to get those lines.

This is the website:

I said in another post that you should play with dates because sometimes it shows different things when you put a space between the day and the month.

And this is a thread where tru_loves_journey post packages sent everyday:

other plan - email IV Unit in Paris, ask for earlier interview date, see what happens.

Darnell, this is what I'm going to do and I hope it will work. I heard it does work for some if the embassy isn't very busy.

Thanks for the link. Looks like the one going to Frankfurt might be mine.... you think?

I could not get the information to show up. Not sure how our fellow traveler here did it. But now I can track it with the waybill. Yay!

I just logged into the CEAC website. It says

Immigrant Visa

Case Number: XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX

The next step in the immigration process is for the principal applicant to register an agent using form DS-3032, Choice of Address and Agent for Immigrant Visa Applicants, which has been sent to the principal applicant. Registering an agent is necessary to establish the primary point of contact for applicant-related correspondence. The registered agent will receive all correspondence from the National Visa Center (NVC) related to immigrant visa application processing fees and applicant document requirements.

The principal applicant may act as their own agent or may register the petitioner, a family member, a friend, an attorney or other immigrant assistance professional, or anyone else that they trust to represent them. The NVC recommends choosing an agent with a postal mail address in the United States, because mail delivery can be unreliable in some parts of the world.

Register the agent for this case by completing and submitting to the NVC the form DS-3032 you received. Processing of the case cannot continue until an agent is registered. If the principal applicant is under the age of sixteen, it is acceptable to have the principal applicant's parent or legal guardian sign the form. Please mail the completed form to the following address:

National Visa Center

ATTN: ACL

31 Rochester Avenue, Suite 200

Portsmouth, NH 03801-2915

Does it mean they sent the DS-3032 by email to my spouse (beneficiary)?

Oh, thanks! I'd used the search-function, but only found threads for the NVC filing and threads from 2011. Guess I didn't pay enough attention. Maybe a mod could merge the threads? I'll report it.

Before you can use the tracking trick, you NEED to call up NVC and ask what date your case was sent out. Without this date, that tracking thing is useless.

I think yer gonna be the lab experiment here.

(In reference to an inadvertent Montreal Expedite Request)

As per Saylin, I sent an email off Thursday Nov. 1 to the Montreal Consulate requesting case info. I called the Consulate Friday but they don't take calls. I called the DOS Monday and they had no info. I called DOS today and they had no info. I called the NVC once again today to verify the case was expedited.

Today I received an email response from my Thursday email to the consulate and our interview is scheduled for NEXT WEDNESDAY, November 14!!!!! :dancing::dance::dancing:

How's that for a lab rat? :D

So as much as I was expecting a rather short lead time, I was NOT expecting only 1 week! :o We don't know if my spouse, who REALLY wants to be there can get the time off. There is mention in the email if I can't make the appointment to notify immediately BY EMAIL  One way or the other I will probably accept the scheduled appointment assuming I can get a flight, but what are thoughts on rescheduling? Advisable or inadvisable? :help:

Wow, that's insane soon! Plus, you need to get the medical done as well before then!

You can re-schedule online at the CSC site (same site where you sign up for DHL/Loomis). I suggest taking a look at the calendar and any available dates. Be warned, if you re-schedule, the earliest dates will probably be December.
