Alright, so I am back from my medical. From what I can tell, it went okay. Had to get the flu shot and feel a little tired. Also @Saylin, I had to give a urine sample but no skin test. Other than that the doctor seemed a bit bored, chest xray, blood taken, listened to my breathing and heart beat, took blood pressure, looked at my vaccinations, asked for my height and weight and whether I have glasses, asked whether I have diabetes, a heart condition or some such and that was it. Paid 156 Euro (including the shot) and was sent home with a huge x-ray that I have to haul through the airports on my way to POE. So all in all it went well, I suppose and hopefully the embassy will accept everything as fine.

They said my results might be sent to Frankfurt within this week. *fingers crossed* although I still have to wait a month until my interview :(

Akk, I hope it doesn't do that to me. I have appointments all week, because I am moving out of my apartment at the end of the month to prepare for the move to the US.

Hmm, the urine test must be Germany-specific then as it's not done in Canada (nor is it mentioned on any of the medical forms/sites I've seen).

Glad it went well though! kicking.gif

Typically, NVC sends the case out the day after the interview date has been assigned.

what is the typical time for NVC to accept DS-3032? We sent on Nov 07/08. So far, IV fee is still locked.

I have seen cases every now and then that take a week or so. Have you called and asked specifically if your case has been sent out yet?

yes, i've called twice and they've said they haven't sent it out yet. the first time i called last week, the guy just said that the interview had just been assigned so they didn't send it yet. the lady today told me rudely that i should check my email because they sent me the interview notice. i told her that's not what i was asking for and that i've already seen that email. she said it hasn't been sent yet and that was the end of it.

just got off the phone with NVC again and talked to a super super nice guy who i felt comfortable asking my questions without getting my head bitten off. said that our case wasn't sent yet and i asked why. he said that he has no specifics but he said usually they collect the packages for a specific country and then it gets sent off and that mine should be shipped off soon. whether that was accurate enough doesn't bother me. the mere fact that he was nice and courteous and addressed my question was good enough to ease my mind after speaking with the operator earlier in the day.
