You think Sarah would be crying after getting hit with a hurricane? Think again. She's made of tougher stuff than that. She was raised in the valley with a gun in her hand. She's been hunting since she was in elementary school just like most up here. Her ol man Todd was raised here in Dillingham and most of the food on his table was due to subsistence hunting and fishing. We don't have "hunting clubs" or even those phony hunting ranches up here. You ain't lived until you've took a snow machine and went on a winter hunt when it was -60 with the windchill. Nothing around you for miles and cell phones are out of the question. Unless you have a satellite phone you can forget about calling anyone for help.

My hero! Clearly from all the time you spend on here there's not much else to do up there.

Over here on the east coast we have all sorts of stuff to do to keep us amused. We have stores to buy food in. We don't have to go out and kill it ourselves. We have entered the 21st century and live modern lives. We don't feel inadequate if we don't kill things. We go to work and earn money so that we can pay other people to provide our meals. When our neighbors suffer a devastating loss we give them a helping hand and don't expect anything in return for it.

In short we are civilized.

And yet she could not make it past the halfway mark during her tenure as Governor of AK. Some tough woman she is!!! rofl.gifrofl.gifrofl.gifrofl.gifrofl.gif

Would you like me to to dig up that thread where you told everyone on here that you served in the military? That's a doozie of a thread. In fact maybe my favorite on here. Now your saying you spent time hunting up here in the bush on your own?

"I want to take this opportunity to mention how thankful I am for an Obama re-election. The choice was clear. We cannot live in a country that treats homosexuals and women as second class citizens. Homosexuals deserve all of the rights and benefits of marriage that heterosexuals receive. Women deserve to be treated with respect and their salaries should not depend on their gender, but their quality of work. I am also thankful that the great, progressive state of California once again voted for the correct President. America is moving forward, and the direction is a positive one."

Yeh, exactly... "Comes with the job, you know" of telling this country what happened in Libya. Comes with the job...you know, to say why the White House hid the details of the terrorist attack in Libya. To be honest with the people of America... Comes with the job.............. You know?

And me being me, I didn't vote for him. See, the Obama campaign solicited donations in the wake of hurricane Sandy - donations to the Red Cross. No photo op, no political profit on the news. It's under the radar and it's to help the impacted Americans recover. That's leadership. Something Romney will never understand.

When the President talks about a natural disaster that impacts the nation, people ought to know. Comes with the job, you know.

You are seriously using Palin as an example of the best Alaska has to offer?

Perhaps you missed it but the reason Mccain lost was people were terrified that brainless bimbo would wind up president when the old geezer croaked! She gave the impression to the rest of the country that Alaskan's are ignorant, ruthless, hockey loving, gun toting, animal killers with no knowledge of anything outside of the state.

and she can see Russia from her backyard!
