I don't know if you remember when Nome, Alaska ran out of fuel oil last year. It was in all the media for a month and a Russian tanker and ice breaker had to bail them out. Well when most of the country was making a big deal out of it, a lot of us up here were saying they made their own bed now they have to lie in it and face the consequences. They knew better than to wait so late in the year to try and get a fuel barge up there and low and behold the sea ice came in early. Stupidity up here only gets you dead. Of course everyone here was ready to fly in fuel oil to Nome seeing how we take care of our own up here.

Well when most of the country was making a big deal out of it, a lot of us up here were saying they made their own bed now they have to lie in it and face the consequences. Here's an idea. As Alaska is so superior and can cope all on it's own and doesn't need help from the federal government and isn't even anywhere near the United States why don't you just break away and form your own country. Please!

We tried twice and this is what it got ol Joe Vogler (may he RIP). The US government fixed that one quick like seeing how they didn't want to lose their oil and gold cash cow.

You think Sarah would be crying after getting hit with a hurricane? Think again. She's made of tougher stuff than that. She was raised in the valley with a gun in her hand. She's been hunting since she was in elementary school just like most up here. Her ol man Todd was raised here in Dillingham and most of the food on his table was due to subsistence hunting and fishing. We don't have "hunting clubs" or even those phony hunting ranches up here. You ain't lived until you've took a snow machine and went on a winter hunt when it was -60 with the windchill. Nothing around you for miles and cell phones are out of the question. Unless you have a satellite phone you can forget about calling anyone for help.

You can't judge the lot by a single square inch. The vast majority of people who live in Alaska are just nice people no different than any other you might find in any other state. There are good and bad people everywhere.
