My husband was denied a fiance visa in Dec 2010, soon after his sister and her husband applied for I-130 and of course she was approved after only meeting her husband at the time of marriage ( her husband is middle eastern also), women don't have a problem being judged like the men , they also met on the internet like my husband and I.

I married my husband in March 2012 and reapplied for our I-130, is the fact that his sister is also in the U.S put our visa at risk?????????? If that's not enough , I was angry to find out that this summer that his sister in the states invited another sister to visit so she applied for a tourist visa and was denied. I hope that this doesn't hurt us, will they see this as a red flag for their family? I'm just sick thinking about this.

Can you tell us the reason they gave you to deny your husband the visa in 2010? Was it the k1 visa at that time? About your husband's sister being in US, I dont see why that would affect your husband new attempt to get a visa but I'm not an expert in this kind of cases.

My finance at the time we applied for the k1 had a brother, uncle, cousins and an aunt living here and it was never an issue during his interview. I wouldn't worry about the sister thing, so many try for tourist visas and are denied. I don't think it will be an issue at all.

Thanks its a little bit of a relief to see your opinions, our k-1 was denied with 221g. I take responsibility for that denial as we had only met one time and didn't have a whole lot of proof to back up our relationship. Key thing though was he had the consular who spoke very fast and his english wasn't great, he didn't understand a lot of what she asked him. His english and our proof is not a problem anymore. He took english courses and I have been a total of 3 times and I have saved chats, photos, etc

No 2 cases are the same.... Someone could be denied for something where it is over looked for someone else.... My husband has a sister and a brother here in the states and their spouses were once married to each other :wow::huh:

The whole process is nuts!!!!!!

My husband has a brother who is US citizen through naturalization, and his brother was also our joint sponsor. It was never an issue for my husband, I was at the interview with my husband and the CO never even brought up the fact that his brother is here in the US. My husband was put in AP , which is pretty much standard for MENA men. He was approved at the interview and we were just told we had to wait for the AP to finish. His visa was issued after about 9 weeks. Good luck!!!

Thanks for your encouraging words, seems the more I read about others experiences the more I get stressed out! Our k-1 denial was our fault, I went into it just doing exactly what the immigration site told me/us to do. Nobody said anything about front loading with evidence, i just gave them some phone bills of our calls, and photos from my visit, plane and passport evidence. I should have never applied for him to come so soon but you know the heart wants what it wants and doesn't like to wait! :) And of course I wanted to marry here surrounded by my family. We had too many red flags to be so nonchalant ( I didn't know it at the time), we have a 10yr age difference, we applied for the fiance visa after knowing each other one year and with only one visit. What is the age difference between you and your husband?
