It is now fourteen days after we received the email stating that a letter was sent regarding the date for the Oath Ceremony... and we are still WAITING for the letter.

I know that there are Oath Ceremonies scheduled in May and then in July for Federal District Court, but that doesn't tell me which one my wife will be in. We were told to not call back the 800 number until a month after the notification... but that would be May 16th and the next ceremony is May 13th and 125 miles from here. The one after that is on July 8th and 265 miles from here. Do I wait just one more week for the letter and if it doesn't come, call back before the 30 days are up? How important is it that we have the letter in hand when we go to the court?

personally I would drive for 120 if it's for such an important thing, I have a suggestion , why don't you try to contact your congressman office, they can contact uscis and resend you the letter

day 86-- 07/05/2012-- Received my GC in the mail.

day 16 -- 04/23/2014 -- Walk-in Bio.

day 197 -- 10/20/2014-- Approval Letter received dated 10/16/2014

day 202 -- 10/25/2014-- GC received

Hi MikeInWyoming ... to find out the places that the ceremony is held in your area, you can ask other members or call the district court (which it seems you have already done). And yes, I wouldn't wait a month if that means you missing what could be your potential appt. date. Call back in a week and ask for a tier 2 support caseworker.

Feb 25, 26 & 28 - got emails saying that the cases had been transferred to another office, then to my local office, and then just transferred and are being processed

Mar 17 - got email, attached to one case number only, saying that my A number was changed relating to the I-130 filing

We called USCIS again today and got passed to a second tier guy. I had told him I was afraid we would miss the May 13th date and had not gotten the letter.He said he was barred from telling us the date, but as WE had the date, he could confirm that is was nice we knew it. He would send out an expedited letter and if we didn't get it by the 5th we should call back and they would fax it to us.

So at least now we know and we have a way forward. I will update the table in a separate post.

Well, I just got a call from USCIS to schedule my oath ceremony for next Thursday. Hopefully I'll get the letter in time. I guess somebody finally realized that as of tomorrow my file would have been out of processing time. I'm glad to have gotten that call, let me tell you. I'll be going alone because my husband won't be able to get the time off on such short notice, but that's okay. I'll happily attend without my own head if it means that this will be over.

Feb 23 - Sent USCIS a message asking for a processing update

May 6 - Received an email response saying things were progressing normally but that waiting times might be longer

Mar 17 - got email, attached to one case number only, saying that my A number was changed relating to the I-130 filing

Well, I just got a call from USCIS to schedule my oath ceremony for next Thursday. Hopefully I'll get the letter in time. I guess somebody finally realized that as of tomorrow my file would have been out of processing time. I'm glad to have gotten that call, let me tell you. I'll be going alone because my husband won't be able to get the time off on such short notice, but that's okay. I'll happily attend without my own head if it means that this will be over.

Yay! Finally! Happy your wait s almost over! Long overdue. :)

Nov 7, 2012 N-400 delivered to Phoenix lockbox, signed by Arndt & case priority date

Nov 9, 2012 Case Touched, NOA date

Nov 13, 2012 Got text/e-mail with case number & the check was cashed :)

Nov 14, 2012 Case updated online to say biometrics apt. notice is on its way!

Nov 16, 2012 Received NOA & biometrics apt. letter

Nov 28, 2012 Biometrics apt.

Jan 4, 2013 In line for interview!

Jan 5, 2013 Scheduled for interview!

Jan 10, 2013 Received interview letter

Jan 19, 2013 Received yellow letter dated 1/16 asking me to bring more passport pics to the interview

Feb 11, 2013 Interview

Mar 8, 2013 Got an online update - oath scheduled!

Mar 13, 2013 Oath letter received

Mar 22, 2013 Oath! Officially an American citizen!
