We have been missing from this site for a while. My wife interviewed well on 4 March 2013 but was told she needed a couple more statements/bills/accounts with both our names on them, that were dated within the last nine months. We sent them in the next day. On 04 April we got an email putting my wife "in que" [sic] for the oath ceremony. On 16 April we received an email staying that the USCIS "sent a notice providing the date, time, andlocation." We have gotten no notice and , this being eight days following the email, we called the USCIS 800 number. The USCIS call center woman's response was...If you don't get a notice in 30 days, call back. So I asked, does that mean the oath ceremony is not until after May 15th? The woman's answer was, I do not know, I don't have access to those records.

So we wait and hope we don't miss it.

90 days passed, since I was placed in line for interview... I called the 800 number, and was told that they are now processing July cases :o

I expected Manhattan office to be slower, but not this slow. What I can't understand, is that there are some people (I know of at least 2) who filed in February, at the same district office and already have interview scheduled... And then there are those who filed 1.5 months before me, in October, and are still waiting.

Very frustrating. When I called, I was told there's nothing they can do, since it's within processing dates. So all I can do is wait, and wait and wait.....

Congratulations to all new US Citizens!

Did you talk to a manager at USCIS ?

You have crossed the 90 day limit. They should give you a clear cut answer or start an inquiry on your case. I would suggest get an Infopass.

No, I didn't talk to the manager, and the person I talked to said that there's nothing I can do at this point but to wait. Maybe I should call back and request to speak to the manager. I don't know how helpful opening an inquiry would be though, I've heard that it doesn't help at all.

I had infopass scheduled for yesterday, but I had to cancel, I just made another one for May.

It's frustrating because we were planning to visit my family in Europe this summer for few weeks, but it looks like my interview can be scheduled anytime between May and as late as August, which really complicates our plans :(

You should talk to 2nd level support. They just cant say wait. You have already waited the standard 90 days.

Something should happen under 90 days and if it does not, they are supposed to look into your file to see where and why its stuck.

I received my notification almost 10 days before I got the e-mail. You will get it soon. If not, ask to speak with a manager.

Let us know how it goes, nyla. I got the same "can't tell you anything since you are within processing time" #######, but in my case, I've already had the interview so they are right. In your case, no, they aren't, since you should have been scheduled already according to your online status.

MikeInWyoming...I'd try to find out the oath dates in your area just so you can be a pest if a few days before the next date you haven't heard anything.

And as for me... I'm still waiting ...

I called USCIS again yesterday, and the person I spoke to was very nice and helpful this time. She opened a service request for me, and told me that they have 2 weeks to look into it, and then another 2 weeks to let me know what's going on and why the interview wasn't scheduled within the 90-day time frame. She said I should call back in 30 days if I don't hear from them.

Mozplay, lets hope we hear back soon from them, the wait is getting really annoying now :/

How does one learn of the dates? Our closest USCIS office is 120+ miles away and we do not have a phone number for it.

Alright. Now you did the right thing. I hope things will move for you.

Congratulations! Where was it held? At ours, they projected images from all of the different countries as they called out the names. It was really awesome. I'm happy for you that you have finally finished the immigration journey!

It is now fourteen days after we received the email stating that a letter was sent regarding the date for the Oath Ceremony... and we are still WAITING for the letter.

I know that there are Oath Ceremonies scheduled in May and then in July for Federal District Court, but that doesn't tell me which one my wife will be in. We were told to not call back the 800 number until a month after the notification... but that would be May 16th and the next ceremony is May 13th and 125 miles from here. The one after that is on July 8th and 265 miles from here. Do I wait just one more week for the letter and if it doesn't come, call back before the 30 days are up? How important is it that we have the letter in hand when we go to the court?
