Hey dagabe, I have a question. Did they tell you at your interview thats everything is fine and you are recommended for approval or something like that and you got surprised by the online stage requesting more documents afterwards...? Or did they tell you at the interview right away that there is a problem or something like that? Thanks and good luck to you!

I did not get approved on the interview. On the form that they give you back, it said "we need to further review your application". I tried to get more information out of the IO, but all she told me was "I need to review this again". A few hours later, my status was changed to RFE.

I have a question. My driving license has the wrong address. Should I try to get it renewed before my interview? Will they accept a clipped license with yellow papers.

good question. Mine also have the wrong address but I would think that doesn't matter...correct me if I'm wrong...

My interview went well. I went with my husband, they let him wait with me in the lobby. I studied very hard, but I was still nervous before the interview. We had to wait a long time, but the woman was nice and helped me feel more comfortable. I was only asked 6 questions because I got them all right.

1) When was the Dclaration of Idependence adopted?

2) How many justices are there on the supreme court?

3) What did the Declaration of Idependence do?

4) If both the president and the vice president cannot serve, who becomes the president?

5) For how many years is a US Senator elected?

6) What does the President's Cabinet do?

1) July 4, 1776

3) Said that the United States was free from Great Britain

4) The Speaker of the House

Was hoping to post good news, but my interviewing officer told me "If it was up to me, I'd say yes. But it's my boss's decision; I'll recommend he approves you." This was in regard to a couple of trips of more than 6 months out of the country. A few hours later I got an email telling me that there is a "request for further evidence" letter forthcoming.

So, no good news yet. Wondering what further evidence they need, as I submitted tax forms, bank accounts, credit cards, etc. all indicating not having abandoned the US as home.

On a side note, he did say that if approved, it would likely be 2 to 3 months before I'd get in for an oath ceremony. Apparently the Greer SC office is backed up in that regard.

Sometimes "Request for Evidence" message is system generated by USCIS web portal. I would say You will receive approval/Oath ceremony letter within 2-3 weeks.

No need to worry at all!!

I agree. Don't worry. It's not going to do you any good anyway. Just wait to see what the RFE will be and provide whatever is asked. This is just one more little road bump :)
