no, regular procedure, they also told me 4-6 weeks but I guess my area was fast this time of the year

Hi,

My oath ceremony has been scheduled today (4/5/2013) even though I had my interview on 4/1/2013 and I requested a name change during the interview.

Hopefully, I can attend the oath ceremony on April 16, 2013.

Anyone have any experience with how long it might take to get my oath date? I was put in que on March 8th and live in Minnesota. I know it says it can take up to 45 days but was just wondering what the average time is.

Never mind, got notice of oath scheduled today, so now just have to wait for the letter!

Congrats to everyone who has been approved and hoping those still waiting get thir oath ceremonies soon.

Went to Social Security today and wanted to share that they can give you a print out showing that they have you as a US citizen in their records. After a 3 hour wait I got a super helpful SS guy who gave me 3 print outs - 1 verifying number, 1 for the new card and 1 showing my citizenship. He stamped nd dated all of them too.

Now to apply for a passport!

Hi,

I received Oath Letter today. The Oath Ceremony is scheduled on April 16, 2013, 1.03pm at LA Convention Center. My journey is almost coming to an end. It has been a long wait -over 5 years, and I look forward to a new chapter in my life as a USC.

Finally received an email notifying me that me that I've been scheduled for an interview!!! No letter in the mail yet. Expecting an interview mid-late May. I'll update the info as I get it. Congrats to all new Americans .
