Preacher Blames Hurricane Sandy on Homosexuality

You know it was only a matter of time before some religious zealot declared with absolute certainty that Hurricane Sandy was God acting out his wrath for some combination of homosexuality, drugs, the Obama presidency, or masturbation. A Christian religious leader by the name of John McTernan, has already claimed that Hurricane Sandy is further proof that "God is systematically destroying America" as political judgment for the "homosexual agenda."

John McTernan previously made similar allusions about Hurricanes Katrina (2005) and Isaac (2012), which he reiterated in his urgent call to prayer posted Sunday evening via Gay Star News:

Just last August, Hurricane Isaac hit New Orleans seven years later, on the exact day of Hurricane Katrina. Both hit during the week of the homosexual event called Southern Decadence in New Orleans!

McTernan believes that it is noteworthy that Hurricane Sandy is hitting 21 years after the "Perfect Storm," because 3 is a "significant number with God":

Twenty-one years breaks down to 7 x 3, which is a significant number with God. Three is perfection as the Godhead is three in one while seven is perfection.

It appears that God gave America 21 years to repent of interfering with His prophetic plan for Israel; however, it has gotten worse under all the presidents and especially Obama. Obama is 100 percent behind the Muslim Brotherhood which has vowed to destroy Israel and take Jerusalem.

Both candidates are pro-homosexual and are behind the homosexual agenda. America is under political judgment and the church does not know it!

My husband was reading this to me last night while I was carving pumpkins. I said essentially the same thing. These guys are usually the ones who end up a) cheating on their spouse with a girl far too young for them or b) cheating on their spouse with a guy far too young for them.

From the little I read of the link you gave, his contention is focused on this countries embracing in Law and wide spread practice, "Abominations" (rather than run of the mill sin) and yes he highlights the President, celebrating PRIDE from the highest office in the land... groups of Americans whose only commonality is the practice of -Homosexuality. The Abortion industry, not only permitted to practice their craft but paid to do so by the Gov't.

While I am not one to credit God with this or that natural disaster, there is a clear understanding among all branches of Christianity (and beyond) in the Principle of "sowing and reaping" and of god meting out judgments on people and nations at certain times.

If I were to send God an email I would say this.... Lord we don't need your help in destroying American, we have enough people right here working their hearts out on that already.
