Also, unless a great deal of time has passed since the medical exam for the K-1 visa, you shouldn't have to re-do the medical for AOS.

Improved USCIS Form G-325A (Biographic Information)

Form field input font changed to allow entry of dates in the specified format and to provide more space for addresses and employment history. This is the 6/12/09 version of the form; the current version is 8/8/11, but previous versions are accepted per the USCIS forms page.

You got the civil surgeon stuff and biometrics is completed at USCIS. Our CS redid the blood test and did a TB test, read the x-ray for her chest. My work medical insurance (wife on policy) paid for most of the medical stuff, not the USCIS paperwork. I was lucky found a good one with a nice office.

Biometrics isn't a medical exam. It's having your identity verified by individual traits. In the case of AOS the applicant will be scheduled for an appointment (by USCIS) to have their biometrics captured at an application support center.
