i'M GOING TO APPLY FOR CITIZENSHIP BASED ON MARRIAGE. I didn't know if I should answer yes or no for the Citation question. I had 3 tickets: one in 2008 ($135), second in 2009 ($108) it was for an accident they gave me a ticket for failure to stop, and the third was in 2010 ($209) was for speeding 25 miles above speeding limit.

Do you think that it will affect my citizenship or not?

I'm trying to get reciepts from the court that I paid all of them. Thanks

traffic tickets unless dui related and if the fine is less than $500, need not be declared.. during the interview itself, the IO will ask you again if you ever had been arrested or cited, just tell them about your speeding tickets.. they will ask if it is dui and since it is not, they would just brush it off... and no, it will not affect your application for citizenship.. they know almost everyone gets cited for speeding.. relax and good luck
