Hello guys my I-765 got approved on 22nd of October and it came in today. I says that it can be used as AP as well. They apparently call it a Combo card. One thing I would like to ask about driver's license. Am I allowed to apply for one now or do I have to wait until I get my greencard? I know it depends on the state. I live in Maryland. Anyone who went through this process with an EAD trying to get a DL?

Most states will let you obtain a driver's licence with an EAD.

EAD is usually accepted as proof of legal status. It's state specific so maybe google your state and dmv and see what kind of proof is accepted. If it says i766 (that's the EAD), then you're good to go.

K1 process, October 2010 > POE, July 2011

I-129F approved in 180 days from NOA1 date. (195 days from filing to NOA2 in hand)

Interview took 224 days from I-129F NOA1 date. (241 days from filing petition until visa in hand)

From filing I-129F petition until POE: 285 days

EAD/AP Approval took 51 days from NOA1 date to email update. (77 days from filing until EAD/AP in hand)

AOS Approval took 206 days from NOA1 date to email update. (231 days from filing until greencard in hand)
