G-325A Form Question

I was looking over (again) the G-325A form my fiance mailed to me and I have a question about filling out the heavy border box at the bottom. The instructions say print your name and alien registration # in the box and I'm confused about what this means. He filled it out by typing the information in the box and printing it but I'm wondering now if its supposed to be hand written in? The form has his original signature so that is good. Thanks for the help!
