We all understand your frustration with this slow process, just imagine I'm going through the CR-1 stage at CSC and i filed my I-130 April 25, 2012 since recieving my NOA1 april 30, 2012 we are still waiting with no help from USCIS on updates for why it's taking so long but only to be told they are still on April 4th 2012 applications ... so if nobody understand your pain I DO...

This has nothing to do with being French or anything. It is a personal thing, everyone around me knows i am overemotional so i am probably weaker that most people in this situation, this is nothing to brag about unfortunately. I read many people here and i am not a quarter as positive as most of them.... I am seeing this "journey" ( i put it in brackets because i don't consider this like a journey but more a nightmare) as a moment in our lives that is wasted, life is so short dammit....

Hello all

please go to the USCIS website and look under trends -- it is showing how many application they are already working on

The USCIS Processing Trends on the USCIS website shows the number of petitions completed by month. So in this case its showing how many petitions were completed in August not how many August filers were completed. I would reccommend others who have questions about the current rate of CSC approvals also take a look at this USCIS data. When I saw it I thought it provides great insight as to whats going on with CSC. But like other things in life YMMV!

cheers

Ameripol: Thanks for your encouragements and advice, you sound like my fiance trying to keep me from going into an anxiety/panic attack (which i have had a lot lately). I know we are all on the same boat and the people at VSC are not as fortunate as i am (i mean who knows, my case could take 8 months) but this is not the issue. Getting your fiance to come for getting married shouldn't take that long (this is a freaking form they have to read dammit). Anyone should be able to get married with who they want, whenever they want without asking for permission. I am completely questioning the system, i want to denounce it (i am even thinking about writing a book and publish it )and this is all the anger i have in myself. Also i feel idiot, i shouldn't have left and i should have filed when i first arrived there last time, i didn't get the information i needed, i have been naive and now i'm trapped. I am afraid of visiting because of the k1 in process and i won't take the risk because of my son (he is a USC, dual citizen with France but i fear that if they don't want to let me in they take him away from me.

The worst part of this is that everyday i am losing pedals even more, i feel my life is being wasted, my son away from his dad, and me... idk i am not myself anymore, i am becoming aggressive with everyone, i can't sleep at night and i have thought about the worst. I think i am becoming unable to take care of my child. Good thing my parents are with me.

Sorry about my drama, that probably doesn't interest anybody here....

Meme: what is the normal processing time for your visa? How come you aren't able to put a request for service??

Cases like yours are the kind that get me into anxiety crisis, i am thinking "what if this happens to me as well" " i am so unlucky this is going to happen to me too"

Lolladolly, the best thing I can say is to find some friends here. Everyone here understands the pain of being away from their SO. Maybe even check out the regional boards and find a French buddy to talk with, maybe they can understand or provide some more personal insight. On that note, if you want to chat about anything I'm more than happy to talk with you, just send me a PM. Heck, I used to be fluent in French although it's been a few years haha.

Just try and take a deep breath and hold on. It's gonna go by way faster than you think and you will get through it. Regardless, this is still a personal journey and we all handle it differently. So I understand that you're anxious and stressed out. But really, anything I can do let me know. And I totally agree, the process takes WAYYY too long. :P

Give or take my processing time should be 6 months but we have not seen our NOA 2 (180 days + counting). From what I was told I'm still in (Normal Processing Times) so a service request isn't going through for us.... Just like most people have been saying try to keep yourself busy, make a few friends, be very productive as well.... I wish you the best of luck for your process.... If you like you could follow my timeline to see my journey as I will follow yours.... the more you worry about it the more insane you will get ( Been there before lol) I just try to make the best out of the situation because my family deserves it and I would fight tooth and nail until that day comes P.S. sorry if any error, using mobile phone to reply

Meme, have you tried harassing them by calling like twice a day ?? lol. if you are past the 6 months then you are not within normal processing time and if that happens to me jesus christ i don't know how bad i would react, i am so fragile lately. I'll check on you pretty often hoping that you get your NOA2 soon

Ameripol: Sure we can talk and message each other. I know i need to make the wait shorter by getting busy, be productive etc... but i think i have fallen into such a big depression state that i don't know what can end the nightmare. The worst part is knowing my fiance's loneliness and sadness of being away from his son. I think i feel guilty and full of remorse with that situation. This is destroying me.

I don’t believe that CSC processing time is accurate as the USCIS has already started showing k1 process for august members – My timeline is jumping up everyday even though I know it not necessarily when I will get my NOS2 done.

Can someone explain how this works

Thank you

:crying:

How do you find the USCIS process has been so far? I have tried to find it on their website but I couldn't find it. My NOA1 was on July 30th. And I have not received any NOA2... I just have to be patient , don't I?

Hi. Like you, I overstayed on the VWP and know how difficult it is to get a B2 visa. How about getting a part-time job somewhere (if your parents are willing to babysit) or doing some voluntary work? You WILL get your visa eventually so try and remain positive for your son and fiance.

Jacque, have you tried applying for a B2? Did you get denied and for what reason (if you don't mind answering)

I was denied for lack of ties to the UK (I have been living outside the UK for many years); reading up on it B2s are very difficult to get for people from VWP countries. My fiance and I never realised how difficult it would be for me to get back into the US. Your NOA2 is sure to come before the end of this year and I am sure you have done most of the waiting part. I really recommend you do some voluntary work to get rid of your stress, and become a happier mother and fiancee.

Posted

Yeah it seems impossible for us to prove our ties to our native country, i have the same problem as you, i have been living in the US for a while so, plus the overstaying on VWP is not in our favor. I think B2 is harder to get for other countries than ours, and people from VWP countries never really need to ask for a B2 anyway so if we do it is true that it means something....

With all that stress I yelled at my fiance last time for not learning french fast enough (he bough the rosetta stone). I am becoming a horrible person sometimes. Hopefully i get my NOA2 before december and we can be together for the holidays, in case he will have to travel to France one more time.

That's so cute that he bought Rosetta Stone! Try to be more philosophical about things- you don't want to push your fiance away from you.

Yea he bought it but doesn't have much motivation on doing the units lol

Lol to be honest i don't want my son to go to the American public schools lol. By the time he is of age to go to school i'll look up for french schools in the US, i want my son to get the French/european education. Before that i'll look for Montessori schools. Plus i will always speak french with him so he'll never forget or get lazy with his french (hopefully). I just hope that he'll start speaking english a fast once we get back to the US, i know he understands it and his mind is attracted by anything in english (like a comercial,or dora the explorer lol)so i guess he knows his origins. I have a friend whose daughter his half USC/Spanish and she just refuses to speak english, even at daycare.

Btw when is your NOA 1?
