Recieved our second and hopefully final RFE, Request for Initial Evidence. Pink paper, one positive note says the service will process your form 1765 application for employment authorization within 90 days of the receipt of your missing initial evidence. Ive used my parents as joint sponsors. One thing they have said is , the joint sponsor on form 1864 ,must be a united states citizen, easy enough, its my mother and all we really have to do is make a copy of her birth certificate or passport. However here is the possibly difficult part. The second and final thing. For the household members income to be included in the household income, the household members income must have been from a lawful source and earned while the household memeber was authorized to work in the United States. This applies to my father. He is a war vet, he has been retired for 2 years and is 100 percent disabled, so his sources of income are from his retirement and disability. My mother has recently stopped working as well. even though easily to respond to what they want for my mother, we just need to copy her Birth Cert and Passport. What in the world do i need to submit for my father? Please Help

Is your father a citizen? It sounds like they want proof he was allowed to work and not working illegally. If he is a USC or LPR you can provide proof of that.

Also, is he getting SSDI or SSI?
