Do I need to apply for new or replace SS Card if I have old one with the annotation "Valid for work with DHS authorization only", from period when I was in US for Work&Travel Exchange program (J-1 Visa) in 2005? :unsure:

I got the same situation as you I got ssc from work and travel 2008 and last year for internship, I still used the same one.

for this case I have no idea exactly which one is the best choice.

in the DS-230, I decided to select receive a new one in mail.

I saw question 43a in DS-230 Part II, but for K-1visa's interview we need only DS-230 Part I, so I didn't use Part II. But for all other forms I use my SSN from my 2005 SSC.

There is no real need for replacing it, it's the number that really matters, not the card itself. Rarely does anyone ask you for a SS card, they ask for your number. And, if they do ask you can provide them with the document (i.e. GC) that shows your card is valid. The number you are given is for life, the card itself is irrelevant.

We opted to get a new card for two reasons, married name change and once you have a green card the stamp is not needed.
