Once I enter the USA and marry my fiancé. When can I leave the country to visit Canada. I am still in school in Canada, and although it is correspondence, I have to return for practicum and exams. I am temporarily putting school on hold to get married but I would like to finish.

Once I enter the USA and marry my fiancé. When can I leave the country to visit Canada. After you file for Adjustment of Status (AOS) and receive your Advanced Parole (AP) document, or when you receive your "Green Card." It is advisable not to leave the US without one or the other. If you do, will not be able to re-enter the USA, and must start the spousal visa process. I am still in school in Canada, and although it is correspondence, I have to return for practicum and exams. I am temporarily putting school on hold to get married but I would like to finish.

Welcome to the forum.

Refer to the Guides AOS section for more information and limitations.

Good luck on your visa journey.
