Hello VJ!

This site has been really helpful in putting together the K1 package. I was just wondering if the community could give me some pointers and help before I mail the package off.

  • I have all the forms signed and prepared
  • I have my entire passport photocopied
  • I have a return flight boarding pass, photocopy
  • I have currency exchange paperwork indicating the date, photocopy
  • I have train passes where my fiancee and myself rode together, these include my passport and name; photocopies
  • I have 6 pictures of us together and one with me and her parents
  • I have a hotel reservation and confirmation of stay with both of our names as guest, printed from email. The date meshes with the train ticket.
  • I have letter of intent from both of us
  • I also have a divorce decree that is a certified copy with a raised seal from the courthouse.
  • I also have chat logs and skype call records.

Is this enough? If not, what else could I include? Besides the check of course ha ha ha...Also what about the train passes my name and passport are clearly legible but the date is formatted in the Chinese way. The ticket includes starting and final station in Chinese and pinyin, so it is clearly readable. Should I have had these translated? I would have had plenty of time as I was in China for 10 months but I thought that they were clear enough on their own until it got closer to the time to mail the packet off and I began to wonder if it should have been translated.

What does everyone think?

ps...I have more pictures but they are from the same days many of them...I didnt want to send many pictures from the same date seemed pointless.

thanks!

Looks good, be sure to double check the details noted on the step-by-step K-1 visa guide, easily found in the VJ Guides section, accessible by hitting the "Guides" button at the top of the forum page:

Re-read the I-129F instructions so as not to miss anything.

Good luck on your visa journey.

Be sure to include the money order or check and make a photo copy of it. Make 2 copies of everything before you send it. If you have added attachments to any of the forms, put your name at the top and also sign and date each attachment. (Or if attachments are on your fiance/ee's forms, their name) Good luck.

Also make sure both of you have an exact copy, keeps everyone on the same page and prevents" missing" important items later.

ya, G-325A forms.

also, review the GUZ IV Red Flag topic over at

GUZ IV red flags - http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/234971-red-flag-list-for-visa-denial/page__hl__appointment

read and reread posts 8,9 and 10.

If you have any of those red flags, prepare a letter of attestation per red flag, include in the casefile submittal, reference them in the coversheet as well.

Good Luck !

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
