The point is that when you have black only committees it furthers segregation and racism. How are we ever going to get to a color blind society when the black community keeps dividing everything by color.

Example. Let's say you have 6 congressional districts that are defined along geographical boundaries that avg about 30% black. So then to meet justice dept guidelines you gerrymander a district from the coast to the mountains and include almost every major population density of blacks into that district. Now the other 5 districts are 10% black. All you have done is create super majority white districts and sent one black to congress where he is still the minority. The politicians in the reaming districts no longer have court the black vote and be aware of their positions to be able to win. All the liberals and the federal govt did is further dilute black voting strength by putting them all in one district.

Anytime you define a group by it's color you automatically and by the groups own choosing are making it racist.

Anything that is mostly black isn't by choice, it's by the situation one finds them in. BET was created because black Musicians couldn't get air play anywhere else. Michael Jackson, and that's because his agent was about to tell the media that they wouldn't play his video because he was black, they threaten to sue MTV. You're right, this is why I conduct myself the way I do, I don't use racism as an excuse to be angry, I use it as a motivator to show I'm just as good as anyone else. It's also why I try not to let it drag me down and start mud slinging. That goes to you too Run, you have a bunch of good points, we could all learn from each other.

No one is arguing absolutes.

The fault i find with most white people's assessment is, the typically have the attitude, "I did not own slaves, so why is the moral decay and rot of black society my problem. It is your problem white people because black people have not truly been free in this country but about 25- 30 years. 30 years ago in my hometown dating a white women while being black might get you dead. 35 years ago in my hometown you could work in the local supermarket but you could not be manger or handle money. 30 years ago in my hometown a white man ran a school bus stop sign and killed a black child. he was not even arrested, because everyone knew he did not mean to do, you people should just understand. 40 years ago in my hometown we had separate schools for black and whites. 25 years ago we had separate drinking fountains. So I did not own slaves is absurd.

The fault I have with Black people is.. Today you still want your segregated colleges, clubs, and organizations. You still want that special district that will ensure a black only gets elected. You still demand preferential treatment in all things, but yet you demand that we walk on pins and needles and never mention race. Your children have equal access to education, but you have forged a culture that rewards under achievement, and degrades students that excel at school and exhibit good morals, as acting white and ostracize them from your society. Your society glorifies the worst among you and continues to vote for politicians that perpetuate the myth of the hobbled black. Liberal polices have decimated your family unit and a nuclear family in your society is almost non existent., your culture rots from within but you enable it .

Bottom line is both sides have a lot to be blamed for. White people you it has been on us for several hundred years, and it did not end with slavery. Black people your culture is rotting from within and it is not the White mans fault currently although he helped get you here. We have opened doors, reached out. We just all need to be honest. Everyone get the Chip off their shoulder and fix the problems. More government money and dependency is not the solution. White people we need to admit our past mistakes, black people you need to stop glorying the worst elements of your society, stop blaming racism for all your lack of advancement, and pull up your pants.

My mother made sure I had morals and the proper upbringing so I could succeed in whatever I put my mind to. There are no black flash mobs OR white flash mobs in Vermont because ANY Vermont store owner/employee can carry concealed handguns. Which store will YOU rob? People in Vermont do not get "out of pocket", our crime rate is very low despite ANY person being able to carry firearms.

I once saw a white man begin beating a white woman with an ice scraper at red light in Vermont right in front of me. I jumped from my car with a .45 Automatic in my hand, ordered the man to stop while leveling the muzzle at his chest. The man ceased beating the woman, she escaped and I followed the man in my car while on the phone with police until they caught him. The woman was fine.

You, on the other hand, just watch as something like that happens. Why? Because you need to call someone with a gun? I don't, and that is why our crime is LOW here. I have never seen anyone dragged until they were killed in Vermont. It has nothing to do with race.

Now here is where I come in. I am from St.Louis, Mo. And there is a lot of crime there, perpetrated by blacks so I can agree with him on that, when I take my wife to visit my parents or go shopping there are some area I have to avoid to ensure her safety. But here is my question, when you go to the movies, do you watch out for the white people as well? If you go to church, are you leery or the bishop or pastor(you know the history), do you worry if your kids were in the boy scouts or going to Penn State? if you invest, do you think someone is going to take your money?

These are crimes committed by older white males, and yet those folks are paying for it by themselves, they don't speak for the rest of you. That's the difference between us.

When I take my wife shopping or to the movies, I go anywhere I want and bring a gun. But I would not watch white men beat, drag and murder someone. You do. THAT's the difference. Has nothing to do with race. You will stand by and watch criminals kill someone, I won't. It is not OK here to do that...so it doesn't happen. I will kill anyone that threatens myself or my wife. I could not possibly care less what color they are. If I go to church ( )I would carry a gun. I have many to choose from and would find one approproate for my attire. I would probably use my "dress gun" An S&W 2.5" M19 tastefully engraved and with ivory grips. I carry it to weddings so why not church? In summer I would probably take the Colt M1903 .32 ACP.

At the movies I usually would carry my normal Kimber Ultra CDP .45. Unless it was cold and I was taking my Dad's M1911 .45 out for a walk under a heavy coat...you get the point. I have no fear when we go out. Low crime and I am ready for anything that may happen, but hope it does not.

Well minority set aside programs and quotas are institutionalized and they discriminate against whites based on color. So I guess that fits your very narrow definition of Racism.

I do not believe programs that oppress people by making them dependent and controlled by government would be described as "discriminating against whites" If you are saying that blacks receive MORE oppression, dependency and control, how is that discriminating against whites? The purpose of many of the racist government programs is to control certain races and keep them in certain places where racist politicians want them for their benefit. How is that "discriminating against whites"

Racist politicians do this in many ways...some of them

1. Gerrymandering districts to create majority black residents and provide "safe" seats for black congressmen.

How is it racist? It makes sure that blacks will always be a minority in congress and that white congressman (the majority) do not need to concern themselves wih "black issues" since the blacks are conveniently herded into black districts and will vote for black congressman who will simply be wall decorations in congress and never really accomplish anything.

What would NOT be racist? At large districts or districts created with no reagrd for race so that ALL congresspersons woul dhave a constituency of substantial black residents that they would consider. Black issue would be more evenly represented and considered. Instead, racists focus on the color of the face occupying the seat. Institutional racism, promoted by Democrats.

2. Subsidized abortion. Brought to you by the KKK

3. Public welfare programs with no provision to eliminate the need for welfare...instituionalized, multi-generational welfare promoted by Democrats.

There are many more, but you get the idea. That which is touted as being "good" is simply a trap to keep people oppressed. Worked for the Native Americans who have long ceased to be a viable political entity because we "helped" them so much

Exactly. If the population of Oakland California, for example, was given the same right to carry concealed fireamrs as the population of Vermont, the crime rate would would plummet to microscopic levels just as we have here. We allow ALL races to carry concealed handguns and have extremely low crime because of it. It would go a very long way to prove that there is no difference between races. California not only oppresses blacks, they oppress all people by allowing criminals to victimize innocent people of all races

Some parts of Oakland are quite beautiful, and some of the architecture is amazing. Paramount Theater? What an incredible place.

You take a gun to the movies and to the supermarket to protect your wife in Vermont? What is wrong with you? Vermont is about the safest place on earth. Does it make you feel like a real tough man having a gun while watching Batman? That didn't end so well in Colorado.

I do not intend to put myself in danger and I am not looking for a fair fight. If someone threatens my family I do not wish to "fight them" and will not "fight them" I will kill them, hopefully without getting my head bashed against a sidewalk or something first.
