Here is my situation- I am staying with my fiance from now until January 2013. I am Canadian and came across the border without a visitors visa.

We are doing the k-1 packet now and question #12 on the I-129F has confused us. What do we put here? I don't have a number? It says something about a I-94 number?

Is this applicable to us?

If anyone can help me out that would be great...and much appreciated

06/14/2013-MTL case number assigned

06/27/2013- Packet 4 sent out

08/30/2013- Interview Montreal
09/09/2013-POE- Grand Portage, MN.

09/10/2013-at home in Kentucky

10/12/2013- we are MARRIED!

03/09/2014- checked USCIS website and saw update saying "Card/Document production" for I-485

03/13/2014-AOS approved. Received Welcome Letter (i-797)

03/17/2014-Green Card arrived in the mail

3/24/2017- Rec'd Greencard in the mail

i-94 is the arrival card that an American border person attach to your passport. But since you crossed the border without a visa or even presenting your passport to the inspector, I assume you didn't get the I-94. Then again, please confirm this.

i gave my passport at the border and he looked through it. He also took the other information I had documenting my ties to Canada such as mortgage info, letter from employer with my return to work date, etc.

He did not give me a number- so I suppose that I just do not fill that out?

Also- he did mention a "control of days" can anyone clarify with me that this means?

Canadian visitors do not get an I-94 so just put N/A or NONE. The box above should state that you are a Canadian visitor. Put the date you arrived and the date you are supposed to leave by in order not to overstay. I think Canadians are allowed up to 180 days, but someone can correct me if that is wrong.

Thank you for all of your replies.

So, since I am Canadian, we do not receive an I-94, so I would put none in that section.

My new question is, on question 12, when it ask if I am currently in the United States as a "visitor, student, exchange alien, crewman,stowaway, etc" , is this referring to being here on a "visitors visa"?

I am currently visiting, but not on a visitors visa. Canadians go to the US all of the time, especially since I live on a border town. It appears as if I put that I am visiting, that I must then put an I94 number which I do not have since I am Canadian.

In other words, since I am not here on a visitors visa, should I put NONE on question 12?

Put Canadian visitor. That is how you are currently here and explains why you do not have an I-94.
