Hello VJ members, I submitted an expedite request on the USCIS phone number Oct. 19th and from this time I didn't hear anything from them even I didn't get a message pointing that my request was received by them, I called them last time and they ask my to wait a week more and then recall if I still didn't get anything. is that normal time to wait? I gave them my email address on the phone, can this be happening cuz they got it wrong? I'm very confused and frustrated.

Most expedite requests are decided on within one week, two at the most. MIlitary expedites usually only take a day or two, but if it is something more "subjective" (such as a serious but not life threatening health issue), it may take longer. Why did you expedite and how much documentation did you send?

They didn't ask me about any documentation yet. All what I did is just to apply through the phone and the agent told me that they will contact me when they need any evidence and nothing happens since then. Is that normal or I need to call them again and ask them to pass me to an officer.

the person you talked with should have given you a 'service referral number', an internal tracking number used by USCIS.

IMO, call back, give over the 'service referral number' and ask for status on that service referral.

Good Luck !

(if the CSR is confused, ask for a Tier 2, an ISO)

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
Ya know, you can find the answer to your question with the advanced search tool, when using a PC? Ditch the handphone, come back later on a PC, and try again.

Yes, they gave me that number. Thank you for your answer, gonna call them the day after tomorrow since it's the week end for them (hope it's not). Anyway, do think what happened with me normal? I"m afraid they asked me for documentation during last week but I just didn't get the message. Is there any way to check the service number status online?

no online status checking on a service referral, to the best of my knowledge.

also, there's a rumour that USCIS is open on saturday now.
