Our I485 was accepted on August 7th. We received and completed the biometrics appointment on August 31. We have received nothing since. Calling to find out staus and the system simply said that application is being processed at lees center and they received the fee for biometrics on august 7th? Local office is Milwaukee? Should we have some additional type of update by now? My wife received her work auth and tavel auth..through a expedite due to family death. Any ideas here?

For the adjustment of status it usually take 5-6 months for them to process, work authority and travel authority it usually take 3-5 months. Thats why everytime you check the status online the response is on processed, They did received everything you send, if they dont they will send you a noticed, just wait 5-6 months, if they dont send her card yet, thats the right time to call uscis. Hope this helps you a bit.

"When shoud we receive a notice of transfer on i485" -> Never. Your case will either stay at NBC and be adjudicated without an interview, or be transferred to your local USCIS office and be scheduled for an interview. In that last case, you won't be informed if your case is transferred, but you would receive an update saying an interview is scheduled.

The next update will either be:

- case approved

or

- RFE

or

- interview scheduled.

Be patient, the next update may be in many months. Your wife has her work and travel authorization, so no need to be in a hurry and wait anxiously. The green card won't bring her much more.

Good luck! :)

Hi, same thing with my application. We have almost the same timeline, and when i checked my status online, it's still on acceptance.

It's normal, and it will stay in the "Acceptance" stage until one the 3 updates I mentioned above. No worries. :)

we sent my husband's I485 in april and biometrics done in may. we were also notified in may that it was transferred to CSC which is where it is now. if you haven't heard anything then just wait and be patient. you'll probably get request for RFE, transfer to CSC (but doesn't seem likely cuz they usually would have transferred yours by now), or notified for interview. just be patient.

They stopped transferring cases to CSC back in August. Your case will either be processed at the NBC without interview, or sent to your local office and you will be sent an interview appointment letter. It takes a few months.

Thanks for the responses!! The wait begins. My wife did travel on the travel authorization docuement but did have issues getting access to board in both venezuela and panama..both times they did not know what the document was and had to call a second person in to vrify she could travel on it. So the green card makes everything easier
