affidavit of support for K1 visa

Hello! I would like to ask how to fill up the I-134 form.

BTW, we filed K1 visa and was approved. we dont have interview date yet.

In the 2nd page of for I-134, # 7 which asks:

I derive an annual income of: (If self-employed, I have attached a copy of my last income tax return or

report of commercial rating concern which I certify to be true and correct to the best of my knowledge

and belief. See instructions for nature of evidence of net worth to be submitted.)

i have my 2011 ITR which states my annual income of $17,000... BUT since 2012, I have been promoted. And now i got my pay stubs which shows my raise in pay, i also have letter of employments which states my estimated annual income for this year which is $20,800..

MY QUESTION IS== what figure will i put in # 7 of I-134?? should it be the 2011 income which is 17,000 or this years estimated income which is 20,800??

I am just confused because some people say that i would put there my income which is indicated in my latest ITR.

You'll want to put how much you'll make for this year. hourly rate x hours worked a week x 52 weeks a year. and that will give the rough estimate doesn't include overtime if any worked. I had also included a letter from my employer but they didn't seem to want mine and gave it back to us when we went to the first window at the consulate.

oh, so i wouldn't put my last years income right? but the one this year? can i just put there the estimated annual income indicated in my employer's letter?

Yes the current income and should reflect what was indicated on the Letter of Employment.

For supporting docs, have at least the last 3 ITR (not so sure if it's required to have at all 3 or previous year would be enough, just on the safe side though)

thought i only have w2 and 1040 form of 2010 and 2011.. i think it takes months before i get my 2009 w2 and 1040 form if i request it. Do you think 2010 and 2011 w2 and 1040 form be enough?

Yeah W2 and 1040 forms should be enough but I think some CO will prefer ITR (I could be wrong on this one). To order it online, click here
