Hi Everyone!!! We are waiting for our NOA2 anyday, so I would like to have all required paperpwork together for NVC when the petition arrives @ NVC as recommended! Could you please tell me how to have everything ready prior to receiving our case number? Also does the bar code instruction really work? I dont want to have everything sent from my husband prior if the shortcut doesnt work. So if anyone can give me some guidance in the process I would greatly appreciate it!!! :help:

I have been following the flow chart ! What I was wondering if the bar codes work prior to obtaining the case number from NVC or what I need to do to the forms when requested if my husband completes and mails them to me prior to obtaining the case number

You won't get the bar codes until you are able to pay the invoices. NVC will send you emails that will direct you to pay your fees online and you will then immediately be able to print off the bar codes to go with your packets. YOU CAN get your packages ready ahead of time while you are waiting on NVC.

For the DS-230 read and follow every link and submit all paperwork that pertains to your case. Here is the link http://travel.state.gov/visa/immigrants/info/info_3194.html

Poverty guidelines for the I-864 at this link http://www.uscis.gov/files/form/i-864p.pdf. Instructions at this link http://www.uscis.gov/files/form/i-864ezinstr.pdf, and the actual form at this link http://www.uscis.gov/files/form/i-864ez.pdf

God bless, take your time...and double check all your answers against your prior paperwork (I-130 and 325A forms compared to DS-230 information given).

ok I have the financials all together, so wheb they send the hubby the choice of agent he can complete it and email it back to them and what about the DS-230 will that also be emailed back to them or do they want him to mail the original to me for submission via snail mail>???? I am just confused when people say to have everything ready if you dont have the case number or bar codes. Believe me I have been studying and preparing for months but for some reason this part confuses me and just want to be able to submit immediately with no delays if not necesary>>?? :bonk: Hope you are having a great time!!!! thanks for getting back to me!~!
