WASHINGTON (AP) — Government forecasters say a big storm that they're calling "Frankenstorm" is likely to blast most of the U.S. East Coast next week.

The storm is an unusual mix of a hurricane and a winter storm. The worst of it could be focused around New York City and New Jersey.

Forecasters on Thursday said there's a 90 percent chance that the East will get steady gale-force winds, flooding, heavy rain and maybe snow starting Sunday and stretching past Wednesday.

The hurricane part of the storm is likely to come ashore somewhere in New Jersey on Tuesday morning.

NOAA forecaster Jim Cisco said the storm is so massive that the effects will be felt along the entire coast from Florida to Maine and inland to Ohio.

So, I wonder how they will handle it if the power goes out on Election Day at a polling place. There are times when I think that the good old paper and pencil ballot was better - and this might be one of them. And yes, stay safe everyone in the path of this storm.

I've read about those laser satellites orbiting the Earth that they're using or will use for weather wars once other nations develop them, like China. If China hasn't and isn't already using them for the right price because of their connection with Bain Capital. Loads of unlimited deep pockets in this election. Mitt's son already bought the voting machines for Ohio so who's to put it past them to pay for an earth quake and hurricane to the right people right before the election making it look like a natural event. We've seen what the party is capable of to win elections in 2000 and 2004. I've also seen the videos on Youtube about how the electromagnetics of earth quakes seem to act as a homing beacon for hurricanes. They've been tracking this for years online and we saw it with Hurricane Irene last year. Though it's not precise the predictions are pretty close to where an earthquake will make landfall when an earth quake precedes it. Last night a 7.7 earth quake happened off the West Coast near some Canadian Islands triggering a tsunami advisory and warning from Alaska to Hawaii and it's still in effect as several rolling 5.0 aftershocks lasted for a few hours. It seems they really want this hurricane to make a left hook into the NE coast line. Last election this same region turned all blue for Obama and perhaps early voting results also indicated that. It's one of the most densely populated regions and a super storm like this would be devastating to it and the election. I guess we'll see how this is handled in regards to the counting of the ballots again and if the opportunity is seized upon like we've seen once prior. Pay attention to what happens not only in this region but Ohio and how far the storm reaches.

Also if you go on Youtube and search Hurricane Sandy Predictions you're going to get a bunch of religious prophecy stuff that goes on to talk about conspiracy theory stuff but plucks God right down in the middle of it. It's interesting to watch and see what they say and who ends up being right and who ends up being wrong. This happens every earth quake, hurricane, ect...

According to meterologist Sandy has really filled in overnight. Lastest track has it making landfall in central New Jersey. They say that's about the worst place for it to hit as far as New York City is concerned. Bloomberg should be issuing evacuations for low level flood areas. I read this morning they're shutting down the subways and Amtrak is shutting down some routes. Also most airlines are offering vouchers and adding additional flights today to precede the cancellation of flights come Monday. It's going to pack a nasty whopper.

Took down all the Halloween decorations, brought all the lawn furniture into the garage, took wife to supermarket so she could see the bare shelves., etc, etc. I'm now at work during this #######. I work for my county government as the operation director for solid waste and I need to coordinate with other members of the emergency management team I am on so that they know what sites will be available to them to dispose of their storm debris. Fun fun fun, hopefully I can be done by noon today; if it gets too bad I'll just stay here. And as an aside Wednesday can't come soon enough so that I can start my 2.5 weeks of vacation.

The flood level has surpassed Hurricane Irene level on the coastal towns of NJ and the storm hasn't even hit yet. It's going to get really, really bad. Stay safe everyone.
