Case complete email

Called NVC 7 days ago and found out our case has been completed and today we get the following email:

Dear Sir or Madam:

The National Visa Center has received all documentation necessary to complete pre-processing

of your case. As soon as an interview date has been scheduled, the applicant, petitioner

and attorney (if applicable) will be notified.

The applicant should NOT make any travel arrangements, sell property, or give up employment

until the US Embassy or Consulate General has issued a visa.

The US Embassy or Consulate General may require additional documentation at the time of

the interview. Additional documentation requirements if applicable can be referenced at

the following URL: http://travel.state.gov/visa/immigrants/info/info_3742.html

I read on this forum that they do not send out case complete emails like this; is this a new thing?

I received a similar email. Saying I should not contact the NVC asking about an interview because I would be contacted as soon as an interview date was scheduled for me.

I got a case completion email today too.

Mine it said like this;

Yes, I just got this same email this week. My case was completed on the 15th of this month and just received the email on Monday. :blush:

Yep, same. Told "case complete" on the 15th, got the email on the 24th.

Same thing with me. Case completed on Oct. 19 via phone inquiry, and got the same email on Oct. 25. Expect some good news in a week or two... Good luck to all of us!

Is your PD current?

NVC generally gives out interview dates the last week of the month.

They just issued interview dates last week for some countries and I believe are still assigning dates.

I f you don't hear anything by this week then most likely the last week of Feb. (It also depends how busy your embassy is)
