Ok I was just looking at this page: http://www.visajourney.com/content/k1flow

I mailed the I129f on Oct. 17th and was very surprised to get a response so quick! Yesterday Oct. 24th I got an email and a text message stating: "USCIS Acceptance Confirmation.... Your case has been accepted and routed to the USCIS California Service Center for processing. Within 7-10 days by standard mail you will receive your official Receipt Notice (Form I-797) with your Receipt Number....."

It took 5 days to get a response, so I guess that would be NOA1?

Anyway I was looking at the flow chart and saw: "Forms and checklist sent to beneficiary"

She has no way of receiving mail to her address. Will they try to mail something to her to the address given on her biometric sheet?

I just had her open a post office box so she can start getting mail if needed, do I need to get that information to them somehow? If so how do I do that?

Thank you very much!!!

Hey Wade, she does not have to wait to receive anything from the consulate. Once your petition is approved, and the NVC sends it to Guayaquil, you can email the consulate and they will tell you to go ahead and download Package 4 from their site. Follow those instructions and schedule your appointment for the interview. If you choose to wait for her to receive mail, you'll wait a long time.

My wife received her Package 4 in the mail a week before our interview. That was 7 weeks after we scheduled our appointment. Do not wait for them.

Yes, the form 797 is your NOA1.
