Ok so these are Uggs (I just googled them) and they are standard CABA issue so to say.

And then you have your RUB standard issue boots.

Actually, I'd wear neither. I have very sensitive ankles and can't bear even wearing socks, let alone have them be encased in a boot.

I like those RUB boots muchly, but I couldn't wear them or I'd feel unwell.

I would like a pair of boots like in the bottom picture. maybe with not quite as high of a heel, I don't want to tower over my husband..lol

They are actually making (finally) hot looking winter boots for women. Columbia, Sorrel, and a few other name brands finally got into that game a few years back. We have lots of sucky cold weather up here but it's nice to see some of the gals around here wearing those knee high boots that have some style to them.
