K1 Visa Interview Islamabad

Hello All,

Today my fiance had his interview in Islamabad and although the interviewer said that he believed our relationship was real , he said he would not accept our co sponsor. Our case was placed on AP and we were asked to provide my W2'S and a tax return for the last year. My fiance explained numerous times that I was a student , and had only student income. The interviewer said they would not accept a co sponsor , and placed him in AP. Does anyone have any advice or experience with something like this?

If the interviewer didnt accept a co-sponsor from you than the only thing you have left to do now is to look for a permanent job and just work and keep sending them paystub to satisfy them.

This is something some of the recent K1 filers are dealing with you are not alone. The reason it is this way is because the K1 visa is not really an immigration visa its a temporary visa till the transision is made with adjustment of status. Anyways your not alone others are expeeiancing this also and this same thing is practiced in Manila embassy as well. So you will just need to fwt a job that has an income of more then 1800 a month then send proof of income. Generally this is brought up if the interviewer notices that the family is not involved in the relationship and or there is a difference in culture and traditions between the couple applying for visa. However things have been changing recently quite a bit so keep us posted .

I know this was a year ago - but I'm curious Grace & Irfan, if you're still around, what the reason they gave you for not accepting your co-sponsor was?
