The U.S. Embassy remains closed on Thursday, October 25

All scheduled appointments for visas, passports and all other consular services are suspended. The embassy will contact applicants later with information on rescheduling. American citizens needing emergency assistance should call 702 6055.

thanks Pinkr. More delay for our approved visa pickup. Two weeks today but a holiday and a hurricane! Soon we hope.

The only way you will be delayed by Sandy is if the embassy was/is still processing your case. If that is what has happened then you'll have to wait a bit more. However if the embassy was speedy with your case, your packet could be a DHL right know wondering why you won't come pick him up.

Call/check online/stop by just to make sure.

oh trust me my dear friends I have called DOS, DHL and the embassy almost daily. As of Friday the visa had not been "issued" yet. Soon come!

I call DOS daily as well. At least they reported that they do not need anymore documents, or anything else from us. THANK YOU JESUS!!!!! My fiance's friend went Friday for his work visa, so he said there wasn't any problems. I am just waiting. Sigh!!!
