Hi fellow members, i need ur input about my concern now.I scheduled my interview online on Nov. 23, 2012 i ddnt realize that nov.22 is the Thanks giving day . Any of you guys who have rescheduled interview date? will ther no problem if i will reschedule. i want to have it on NOv. 21 instead of 23 coz tendency is US EMBASSY myt be close on the 23rd right after the THANKSGIVING HOLIDAY. Thnk you so much.. ur inputs are highly appreciated.

Usually everyone discourages a rescheduled interview due to delays, up to you. Maybe they will be in a good mood prior to the holiday.

If they gave you the appointment I am pretty sure they will be open. They won't schedule appointments if they are going to be closed that day. I would keep your appointment and not reschedule it.

Our interview is the day afer the US elections - sigh.

I hope the COs party won and he's in a god mood.

Not quite. Our interview was rescheduled three days before teh day.

Your consulate will follow the country and US holidays. Nov 23rd is an additional day off for some US workers but not a national holiday. Contact your embassy to confirm that they're open that day.
