don't worry. single payer is coming. then the medical costs will come down along with workers salaries. the medical workers will curse obama like you won't believe. i'm already getting pumped! WOO!!

and i don't care in the slightest about any of that. my sister has around 1500 a month in medical supplies she needs to live. she is a highly functioning, productive american citizen. unfortunately she has type one diabetes. there is absolutely no reason that her medical expenses should dictate her quality of life. nor should the insurance industry be able to decide if she lives or dies.

scare tactics don't work on people when they are already scared for legitimate reasons. no money for insulin? no money for preventative care? she loses limbs, sight, and ultimately her life. for what? insurance premiums? lining the pockets of industry ceos? whatever man.

Lets just join the EU now and get it over with. We can become another socialist utopia like the EU. Oh ya I almost forgot. The EU has an unemployment rate of 11.6% and it looks to be a tanked economy over there for at least the next five years.

"I want to take this opportunity to mention how thankful I am for an Obama re-election. The choice was clear. We cannot live in a country that treats homosexuals and women as second class citizens. Homosexuals deserve all of the rights and benefits of marriage that heterosexuals receive. Women deserve to be treated with respect and their salaries should not depend on their gender, but their quality of work. I am also thankful that the great, progressive state of California once again voted for the correct President. America is moving forward, and the direction is a positive one."

Really. Why do people move into a better neighborhood, and then, immediately try to change it into the messed up place they left?

Iv'e been asking myself that same question ever since the California Horde started migrating to Washington state a decades back. They changed all the laws in that state including zoning and tax laws and now that state has more laws than ever and it's completely broke as in no money in the state budget. No money in the state budget, no smoking anywhere now, no more farms due to taxes and new state environmental laws, gay marriage, anti gun laws, high crime rate, helmet laws, big fat socialist programs along with the biggest school budgets that state has ever seen, drivers licenses for illegals, and a tax rate that would make your head spin. Yeppers. ####### all over the place you live in and when the raw sewage becomes unbearable then move somewhere else and do the same thing all over again. I just keep moving further out in the boonies myself. I try to keep a buffer between myself and that. Anchorage Alaska has become another one of those liberal cesspools over the past few decades and that city smells of liberal rot now with little or no new development unless it's some museum and/or art center that nobody goes to and all paid for on the tax payers dime. They love big government. Someone else pays for it and it gives them a feeling of self importance. Kind of like those EU officials who do nothing other than make more laws. The EU is a total joke and it's exactly where the US is headed these days.

They were not real Californians, not even Westerners. They mostly came from someplace east of the Rockies. Or, at least their parents did. Good riddance. Hopefully, more will leave. California is Mexico.

i feel for your sister, but its not the insurance companies that drive the cost of care. with single payer there is going to be an appointed body that decides her care & it will be determined via a cost/benefit analysis....just like the insurance companies do it when deciding coverage. thats not a scare tactic, its fact.

i'm american. and i don't like it that way. who wants to go bankrupt and lose everything due to an illness that is completely treatable all because you don't have enough money and never will?

the problem is the cost of health care. Obamacare did NOTHING for the actual cost of health care.

Guess it's human nature.

When the white man discovered this country Indians were running it. No taxes no debt, women did all the work. White man thought he could improve on a system like this.

as you said, the insurance company already dictates the level of care she receives. what is the difference? the insurance companies care?

and like i said, i don't care about that. i don't believe that obamacare is the solution to anything longterm. but the reality is, my immediately family is greatly benefited - currently - by it. i've witnessed the effects. and seeing as how this all turned out, there must be a bunch of people in the same boat.

Isn't Germany part of the EU? A socialist utopia with around 6% unemployment. How did that happen?
