I met my wife on Facebook, talked 9 months then I finally visited Argentina in April and we got married, She lives in a small town near Salta Argentina, 2 hours by plane from Buenos Aires. Her English isn't the best and my Spanish isn't the best but we have used google translator and have been studying. This immigration process has been very frustrating as I am doing it all myself. It looks like some of you are going through some of the same process. I am at the NVC stage, I sent in my Affidavits of Support and I am the choice of agent, and I am currently working on the Visa Applications DS-302, the civil document requirements are stressing me out. I was reading that the Marriage and Birth Certificates have to be legalized in Buenos Aires but she lives 2 hours by airplane and the mail system is unreliable, I have sent her 2 letters and she never received them. Do you have any suggestions on the quickest way to legalize the documents. She told me she already obtained the criminal record with exception to 51 requirement in Salta. Also I don't understand really understand what documents I send to the NVC and what ones she is supposed to take when she finally has her interview. This is been a confusing and frustrating process when your trying to do this all on your own. Thank you for any help or suggestions you might have. Once she gets the correct documents, what is the best way for her to send them to me? Can she scan them and I print them out or does she have to mail them to me, also Can I scan the DS-302 and have her sign it then she can scan it back to me? what a frustrating mess.
