hi all and thanks in advance . i was filling the form I-131 and they ask about a day that your gonna travel .. I'm counfused ?? Can he only apply for the AP if he is gona travel ?? or you can do it anyway. just wanna know because everybody tell me to apply for the 3 things together . Thanks

I put unknown. In the other box I put for vacation and visiting family for 30-45 days :thumbs:

And for (the purpose of the trip) Part 4 i guess i can put for visiting the family

You don't have to write anything here. Look at Part 3... it will say "if you're applying for an AP, skip to Part 7".

honestly, i would apply together because then you don't have to pay the fee on it. plus, if you apply it with the work authorization visa (i765) they send you what is called a combo card that is both your employment authorization plus advance parole. my husband has yet to travel but i have read that sometimes the advance parole only works once or they forget about it and it can take longer than 3 months. again, just what i have read.

That's not a problem. I included a separate sheet of paper with a one sentence explanation (I wanted the AP for an eventual trip to my home-country in case of family emergency), but I read that you're not even obliged to give an explanation.
