My fiancee and her 11 yr old daughter started medical exam at St Lukes Monday morning 10/22. They both finished physical exams. She had the x-ray, but the daughter had TB skin test to be read Wednesday 10/24. Tuesday was off for both of them. Both came back Wednesday morning. She had her shots. She completed everything and was released: was given CD, immunization record and a sealed envelope marked "Do not Open". She was instructed to give that envelope to the American Consul for their Thursday 10/25 interview. Because her daughter tested positive she had to get an x-ray - results were negative and given 4 shots. It was late in the afternoon when her daughter completed everything and was released: was given CD, immunization record. Was told that St Lukes will be the one forwarding the medical results to the embassy for K2. She was informed that it is St Lukes policy for K2. (????)

That's where I get confused. I have always thought the applicant will never be handling the medical results. Yet my fiancee have her medical results with her, while her daughters is to be forwarded.

Maybe because it was late Wednesday 10/24 afternoon and the doctors, haven't had time to complete the medical results of the child. The fact that the interview was the very next day Thursday 10/25.

Bottom line: they both passed their exams, required shots, CD's given and immunization records. But one has the medical results with her and the other to be forwarded.

Any input from K1 & K2 applicants will be highly appreciated. Thanks.

There is a cut off time for medical results being sent to the USEM. It is possible having you just hand deliver the results as long as it is not opened. Good luck today. My fiancee will be there as well :)

The US Embassy will just wait for your step-daughter's medical result from St. Luke's before they issue the visas. It'll probably just add a 2-day delay to the visa issuance. Nothing to worry about.
